Fabulous meeting tonight at Wandering Feathers at Pitt Hall Farm.
Rod and his lovely wife Kirsten gave us a brilliant tour of the mobile chicken coops and explained about their regenerative farming techniques that they use that result in delicious organic eggs that they sell locally and in their fabulous vending machine too. 🐓🥚

Thats a wrap! Berkshire YFC County Camp 2025 🏕️ is complete.

We’ve had a brilliant weekend and so many great memories have been made and more friendships forged, as members from each of the four clubs that make up the county came together and had a blast! We managed to cram in some great activities over the weekend with a fabulous giant inflatable assault course (supplied by Skys The Limit), slip ‘n’ slide rounders and a brilliant silent disco in the pink tent!

Thank you so much to the Englefield family for hosting us and to all of the parents and helpers that made this happen along with the members for coming - you’re all awesome 🤩 😎
Also thanks to Tim and Sharon May who brought The Roaming Smoker along and fed us the most delicious food (pig supplied by Alex Fenton at Kingsclere Butcher’s, thank you) and many more thank you’s to all involved.

Who’s up for same again next year? 🤣🤣

Last night we had a brilliant meeting at a local Lime Quarry.
Thank you so much to Mike Dalgarno for hosting us and showing us how the lime is mined, sorted and processed and then distributed to farms within a forty mile radius. Mike also explained the uses for lime in farming, with the soils varying so much in PH levels.
Special thanks to Mike's wife, Sarah, for providing lovely refreshments and home made cakes at the end of the meeting. They went down a treat 😁

Wow, wow, wow - amazing results at tonight’s presentation awards.
Overall club winners of the Berkshire Young Farmers Show 2025 (first time in twenty five years), along with a few other shiny trophies to boot. 🤩🥳
We look forward to celebrating with the whole club at our end of year BBQ and getting some photos of you all with the trophies. 🏆
Well done each and every one of you Newbury Members, your hard work has paid off.

Lots of good luck to Flo (Newbury Young Farmers ), Bradley (Bradfield Young Farmers ) and Annabel () for the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs Dairy Stockjudging Finals at the Great Yorkshire Show tomorrow.

It's a big step up from County Rounds, but a great experience, so do your best and, most importantly, enjoy! We're right behind you and proud that you're going for it!
