Ebs & Flows Yoga Yoga to connect you back to yourself and the world around you

If we aren’t careful, we will ‘I don’t have time’ our way through our entire lives and miss out on all the most important parts…

For me, travelling is the experience where I have time for everything and anything, allowing me to experience life at the pace it’s meant to be lived.

Life is so different when you’re not a slave to the clock like most of us are through the majority of day to day life.

Life isn’t meant to be a race.

If you come from a background that means you have the opportunity to travel, please ask yourself if that ‘thing’ that’s holding you back is important enough to stop you from truly being alive?

The evolution of girl time:
Spending time with the girls looks soo different now to 2 years ago, and I love it.
Everyone has their preferences, but I am so grateful to have changed as a person.
I feel like the past me was never fully present with my friends. I wasn’t my genuine self under the influence, and I would usually be thinking about the next drink or substance rather than really listening.
I love that nowadays, I can sit and talk for hours with my friends over a coffee and really hear each other, or go into nature for a walk, or smash pads at the gym instead of relying on alcohol to have fun together.
It’s also a massive bonus that I can actually remember what we got up to.

I hear a lot of people say they can’t meditate because they cant stop their thoughts.
It’s very difficult to actually ‘stop’ your thoughts.
Even for people who practise regularly, weird and unhinged thoughts still come into the mind.
To me, meditation isn’t about stopping your thoughts.
It’s about allowing those thoughts to come in and just noticing them.
Instead of being judgmental with yourself, just notice what comes up with amusement.
Each thought is a reflection of your surroundings, it doesn’t have to be your identity!

Luckily, I no longer wake up like this and you don’t have to either.
In the last year, I have replaced my morning coffee with alternatives such as meditation and movement.
What you do when you get out of bed dictates your happiness throughout the entire day.
I am grateful to have found ways to start my morning that don’t rely on external sources to dictate my mindset.
Kapalbhati pranayama is one breathing exercise that I love to practise in the morning as it removes sleepiness without the midday crash that comes with caffeine.
1. Sit in a comfortable seated position.
2. Close your eyes.
3. Relax your whole body and start breathing naturally.
4. On the exhale, breathe out quickly and forcefully by squeezing your abs.
5. Allow the inhale to come at its natural rhythm.

My favourite tree EVER:
The wishing trees of Avebury 🌟

I am always reminded here that even if we are living a million individual lives, we will always be connected by the fact none of us have a clue really what’s going on and by the one thing that is constant in all forms of life: energy 🌀

If you struggle with stress, anxiety or depression, have you tried taking 5 minutes out of your day to be silent in nature?
To listen to your thoughts.
To listen to the world.
To use your inner senses to see what they are made of.
To see what is important to your life.
As you become still, you can become more focused on what really matters.
