After my post earlier in the week, I’ve had a few questions about hypermobility
Hypermobility isn’t just being “extra flexible.”
For many of us, it comes with stiff, tight, overworked muscles that are constantly trying to protect loose joints.
When joints move too much, muscles step in to stabilize — and they can end up:
• Feeling tight or knotted
• Getting sore easily
• Fatiguing faster than expected
• Becoming stiff even though the body is “flexible”
So yes, you can be both hypermobile and stiff at the same time.
Stretching alone isn’t always the answer — sometimes the body needs strength, control, rest, and nervous system support instead.
If you live in a body that’s flexible and achy, you’re not imagining it — and you’re definitely not alone. 💙
