Job Title: Care Worker (2 positions available)

PLEASE NOTE:

Duties of an Experienced Health Care Support Worker.
• Providing care and support to all range of service users.
• Respond to allocated shift and routine for the day and provide guidance and support to new care staff
• Update, record and review Mar Charts and daily logs and create new mar chart for the beginning of every month
• Making sure there is the right paper work and accurate information is added to the client file/ folders. E.g. daily logs and activities.
• Alternate on call with other on call staff members
• Making sure you use the right PPE correct donning and doffing of PPE.
• Report any issues to Management. Report to Care Coordinator first before anything comes to the Registered Manager
• Ensure service is delivered in accordance with all relevant policies eg uniform policy, Identity Badges , client feedback etc
• Ensure ongoing safety of clients and staff.
• Act as a role model for good care, governance practice
• Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems are maintained
• Support new carers on Shadow shifts.
• Support the Manager with Rotas when appropriate
Experience and Qualifications
• NVQ Level 2 or any Equivalent Social care qualification
• 2 years experience of working with Adults and Elderly people
• Experience of working with younger adults ages 16 to 18 years of age.
• Knowledge and use of clinical assessment tools
• Understand care planning processes and be willing to learn to write and update care plans
• Experience of working to a rota/ shift
• Being punctual and diligent in care provision
• Good organisational skills
• Good supervisory skills
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes that improvement service delivery and outcomes for residents
• Ability to plan and seek help to complete and delegate work appropriately.
Minimum Salary : £21 044.00
