The spirit of Scotland arrived at Florence House as we celebrated Burns Day in true style!

The stirring sound of bagpipes echoed through our corridors, and it was a joy to see so many smiles and hear plenty of rhythmic foot-tapping. For many of our residents, the music sparked wonderful memories and became a great talking point throughout the day.

The highlights of our celebration included:

🎶 Live Bagpipes – Bringing a touch of tradition to every room.

🍽️ Traditional Haggis – Which went down an absolute treat!

💬 Shared Stories – Reminiscing about past Burns Night suppers and Scottish traditions.

It was a lovely way for us all to come together, enjoy a bit of culture, and create some truly special moments. 🥃✨

Last week, Florence House was transformed into a pop-up salon as the wonderful Amy paid us a visit! 💇‍♀️💅

Amy has a magic touch, making everyone in her chair feel truly special. Beyond the beautiful new hairstyles, our residents were treated to some extra TLC with relaxing hand and nail care.

The results spoke for themselves! The home was filled with:

We were absolutely delighted to welcome back our favorite "exercise lady," Jo, to Florence House.

The lounge was filled with music and movement as Jo led us through a wonderful session of gentle exercises. It wasn’t just about the fitness, though—the music truly lifted everyone’s spirits!

From toe-tapping to arm stretches, our residents joined in at their own pace, and the room was buzzing with:

Smiles, kindness, and a little sparkle! ✨

Our residents were treated to a wonderful pamper day last week, enjoying some well-deserved "me-time" with hair and nail sessions. There was such a lovely buzz in the air, and it was wonderful to see everyone feeling so relaxed, confident, and very special.

Sasha brought so many smiles, cuddles, and happy moments to our residents. There is something truly magical about the bond between our residents and their furry friends—these visits really do brighten everyone’s day and mean so much to us all. 💛

Snowflakes and smiles at Florence House! ❄️🏠

Our residents couldn't resist the magic of the fresh snow. We headed outdoors to feel the crisp air, touch the snow, and share plenty of laughs together.

Of course, no snow day is complete without a treat! We’re now back inside, warming up our hands and hearts with delicious hot chocolate and lovely conversation. ☕️✨

Who says you need to wait until midnight to celebrate?

We had the best time ringing in the New Year here at Florence House! It was wonderful to have our residents joined by their families for the festivities. With live singing from the talented Emma Kenworthy, plenty of dancing, and some very festive party hats, the atmosphere was electric.

Thank you to our amazing staff, residents, and families for making it such a special day. Happy New Year everyone
