💚 A Piece of Cake for a Great Cause 💚

A lovely morning at one of our Stanfield residential care homes, where staff and residents came together to support Macmillan Cancer Support.

The team treated everyone to a delicious spread of freshly made sandwiches and a beautifully baked lemon cake 🍋 - all prepared by our wonderful staff.

🎉 Cowley Way Celebrates 30 Years 🎉

Yesterday we marked 30 years since one of our residential care homes in Stoke first opened its doors. To celebrate, the team hosted a party and welcomed staff and residents from our other homes too.

We were pleased to welcome five individuals who’ve been part of Cowley Way since day one - still very much part of the community today!

A huge thank you to our dedicated team, who continue to make Cowley Way a place where people feel supported and valued.

Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make the day one to remember. Here's to the next chapter...

🌼🌷A blooming good day out 🌷🌼

The residents at one of our residential homes in Tunstall thought the garden needed a splash of colour – so off they went to Bridgemere Garden Centre!

After a lovely wander (with a favourite animal spotted), a coffee stop, and plenty of beautiful plants to choose from, they came back with some blooming good finds. 🌿💐

🌼🌷🪻 A Special Space for Liz 🪻🌷🌼

Liz moved into one of our residential homes at the beginning of the year. One of the things she missed most was having a space to reflect and remember her much-loved parents, who have sadly passed away.

With the support of Steve and other team members, Liz chose some of her favourite flowers and created a beautiful garden area just outside her bedroom window. Steve helped prepare the space, and staff have since supported Liz in looking after it.

Liz said: “I am really happy I now have a place where I can go and remember Mum and Dad and sit and have a chat or just sit in the peace and quiet. Thank you Steve and everyone for making this for me and supporting me to look after it." 💜

🏡 Welcome to Hazelwood, Marie! 🏡

It’s been an exciting time in Whitchurch as new tenants begin moving into Hazelwood, our newest ShireLiving community.

Hazelwood offers 71 beautifully designed extra care apartments for over 55s, and it’s already becoming a vibrant hub - not just for tenants, but for the wider community too, thanks to the welcoming onsite café.

Meet Marie, one of the first to move in. She’s made the move to be closer to her daughter and grandson, and it’s already starting to feel like home 💜

🎥 Watch the video to hear Marie’s story.

Summer fun in Southport for Holdcroft Road🌞🎠⛳

Support Worker, Joanne said: "The ladies at Holdcroft Road, enjoyed their day trip to Southport. They went in the arcades, had a round of crazy golf, rode the carousel and enjoyed eating donuts, then finished off with fish and chips. And not forget running through the water fountains at the end!"

West Street has their own keen, green, gardening queen! 👩‍🌾🏡

"Our lovely lady at West Street, has spent the last few hours enjoying the sun and letting the staff know they’re not sowing the seeds correctly, hopefully we can begin to grow a range of vegetables & herbs. Lets keep our fingers crossed🍓🥒🌱" says Zoe, Senior Support Worker for Choices.

Amongst the broccoli, garlic chives, and tomatoes are carrots, rosemary and lettuce. We're all looking forward to seeing what gets harvested later this year!
