HOW LIVING WITHOUT PURPOSE CAN HURT YOU
Up until 2011, as a master herbalist, I was helping people overcome all kinds of complaints.
Like chronic fatigue, depression, joint and muscle pain, foggy brain, sleeplessness, bowel conditions, weak immune system etc.
Plus the little-known but severely debilitating dysfunction of the body’s electrical system: Chronic Reversed Polarity.
Then, thanks to the pharmaceutical lobby, an EU edict banned the most useful herbs, making them go through the expensive approval process that drugs do.
Naturally remedies took a blow and many were taken off the market.
I became disillusioned and stopped my practice.
Today I’d see it as an opportunity to diversify and look for something even better. But back then I was less wise.
Shortly thereafter, I developed tenosynovitis (trigger thumb). And it hurt. Really hurt.
The doctor said it’s repetitive strain from typing, but I don’t use my thumbs – I’m a two-finger typist.
I am a sucker for metaphysical/esoteric workshops and signed up for one that looked good.
The workshop leader is quite psychic, it seems, and she said “the pain in your hand (how did she know?) is due to you not living your purpose.”
I resolved immediately to get back on track and within days the pain was completely gone!
So I studied, hypnotherapy, NLP, TimeLine Therapy, various mind/body techniques and even had a couple of shamanic initiations.
Attended all kinds of courses to up my skill level.
Including helping people discover their purpose to live life more joyfully.
I still use herbs when needed, but most of my work is around mindset, mental wellness and tapping inner resources to create your life consciously.
Because everything we experience is a reflection of our inner consciousness. Even physical pain, it seems.
Now I choose purpose over pain.
Wouldn’t you?
