Today and tomorrow, some staff are attending PPS training to refresh and strengthen our knowledge around safe restraint techniques and the appropriate use of force. Other staff members will also be completing the same two-day training next week.

We carry out this training regularly to ensure our team stays up to date, confident, and informed, keeping it fresh in our minds so we can continue to provide a safe and professional service for everyone we support 💚

Please can residents leave a suggestion below of where you would like to go on the walking group. We can then have a look to see if it would be possible.

💙 Sexual Assault Awareness Month 💙

Today we stand in solidarity with people affected by sexual violence as the world marks SAAM Day of Action, part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Sexual violence can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background, and acknowledging this is an important step towards change and healing.

For many survivors, finding the courage to speak up or seek help can be hard. If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual violence, there is support available here in the UK.

📌 Support & Helplines
• Free and confidential 24/7 support from R**e Crisis England & Wales Support Line (0808 500 2222) — available day or night to listen without judgement.
• SurvivorsUK offers counselling and helpline support for men, boys and non-binary people affected by sexual violence.
• The Survivors Trust National Helplines Directory connects you to specialist services across the UK and Ireland.
• Safeline Support Services provides counselling, advocacy and practical help for people aged 4+ affected by sexual abuse.
• Women’s Aid supports women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence and coercive control.
• Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) offer medical, emotional and forensic support in England & Wales

💬 You do not have to go through this alone. Asking for help, talking to a trusted person, or simply knowing there are people who will listen can be a strength. Support and understanding help break silence and stigma.

Let’s spread awareness, show compassion, and support everyone on their healing journey. 💙
