💙 Sexual Assault Awareness Month 💙
Today we stand in solidarity with people affected by sexual violence as the world marks SAAM Day of Action, part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Sexual violence can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background, and acknowledging this is an important step towards change and healing.
For many survivors, finding the courage to speak up or seek help can be hard. If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual violence, there is support available here in the UK.
📌 Support & Helplines
• Free and confidential 24/7 support from R**e Crisis England & Wales Support Line (0808 500 2222) — available day or night to listen without judgement.
• SurvivorsUK offers counselling and helpline support for men, boys and non-binary people affected by sexual violence.
• The Survivors Trust National Helplines Directory connects you to specialist services across the UK and Ireland.
• Safeline Support Services provides counselling, advocacy and practical help for people aged 4+ affected by sexual abuse.
• Women’s Aid supports women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence and coercive control.

💬 You do not have to go through this alone. Asking for help, talking to a trusted person, or simply knowing there are people who will listen can be a strength. Support and understanding help break silence and stigma.
Let’s spread awareness, show compassion, and support everyone on their healing journey. 💙
