Saturday was the perfect autumn day for our 3rd Castle Classics!🍂

Retro rides and the “Rave On” ceramic Ford Zephyr rolled into town, a treat for car fanatics and passers by, all soundtracked by our friends at 6 Towns Radio.

Events like Castle Classics play a massive part in driving people into Castle, with footfall this weekend up 58% on an average Saturday🫶🏻

It was a brilliant boost for local shops and cafes and was great to see the town buzzing.

Today’s Town Tidy Day! 🧤🍂

On the last Tuesday of every month, we head out between 12–2pm to give Newcastle a little extra TLC!

As well as litter picking, the team spruced up the Pop Up Park on the Market Cross, planted some new greenery, cleared fallen leaves and gave the arches a fresh autumn look 🍂

We were even joined by a special guest, the friendly neighbourhood cat from Rio Cut on the High Street, clearly lending a paw to help keep Castle looking its best! 🐈

We love seeing so many of you enjoying lunch breaks or morning coffees in the sunshine, so we wanted to make it purrrrfect for you 🐾

We’ve done it again, Castle! 🌸

Newcastle-under-Lyme has struck Gold in the Heart of England in Bloom Awards and we’re proud to have been named Overall BID Category Winner for the second year running! 🙌

Back in July, representatives from the BID and Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council toured the judges around the town starting at Brampton Museum and meeting incredible local representatives along the way, including the New Vic Theatre Borderlines group, The Block - Newcastle under Lyme, artist Rob Fenton, Belong Newcastle-under-Lyme incorporating the Belong Heritage Gallery and sculptor Andy Edwards.

A huge thank you to everyone involved, businesses, volunteers, community groups and partners – who play their part in keeping Newcastle blooming. We couldn’t do it without you 🌺

Next stop… Brighton, where we’ll proudly represent Newcastle-under-Lyme at a national level! 🌿✨
