Lonely nation: ending loneliness among older people
Centre for Social Justice – August 2024

This report examines loneliness in the UK, highlighting the challenges that cause and perpetuate loneliness amongst older people. Based on national statistics and a survey of 2,066 adults, it finds that older individuals experience less loneliness than 18–24-year-olds but still face significant challenges with public transport, digital exclusion, and housing as immediate challenges.
