Dear patients,

Due to the icy weather conditions, paths and roads around the area may be slippery. If you are visiting Woodlands Park Health Centre, please take extra care when walking or driving, and allow additional time for your journey.

Your safety is our priority, and we want to ensure everyone arrives at the Practice safely. If you feel unsteady on your feet or have concerns about travelling, please contact us before your appointment.

🌡 A normal temperature is between 36.3°C and 37.4°C. Anything above is a fever and is the body's response to fighting an infection.

📙 It's scary when little ones get a temperature, so knowing the right thing to do can be helpful. And that's where the Little Orange Book can help. For example, there's no benefit to bringing a fever down, BUT it can make them feel better if they are unhappy/unsettled.

✅If your child has missed any of their MMR jabs (measles, mumps and rubella), speak to us at Woodlands Park Health Centre to catch up as soon as you can.

✅The MMR vaccine is safe, works well, and is the best way to keep your child protected.

👉Check they’ve had all their jabs.

✅It’s not just a rash. Measles can cause blindness, deafness, brain swelling, and can be deadly.

✅The MMR vaccine is safe, free, and effective, protecting against measles, mumps and rubella.

✅Children need two doses – at 12 months and 3 years 4
months.

(Children born from 1st July 2024 will get their second dose aged 18 months)

✅Vaccination also protects others who can't be vaccinated.
