People 65 years and over are eligible for a free flu vaccine, Flu can lead to serious complications and hospital visits, get a flu jab if you have an underlying condition or at greater risk from Covid-19 - get yours NOW contact your GP to Book an Appointment.
Pregnancy Information
Pregnant women are advised to have a free flu vaccine. The flu jab will help protect both you and your baby. Flu vaccine is safe to have at any stage of your pregnancy - from the first few weeks right up to your expected delivery date. Pregnant women can get a free flu jab at ante-natal clinic, pharmacy or GP. Taking the flu vaccine while pregnant also protects your baby for the first few months of their lives.
Vulnerable Groups
Some people with a learning disability can get very ill if they get flu.
The best way to avoid flu is to get a free flu jab.
You can have the flu jab at your GP surgery.
Or you can have the flu jab at a pharmacy.
If you are scared of needles, tell the nurse. You may be able to have the vaccine as a nose spray instead.
Children Information
Children aged 2 or 3 years can get a free flu vaccine at your GP practice. Book your appointment now. Children aged 4 12 get their free flu vaccine at school – not the GP practice.
