This lady had implants for many years and had developed an issue called a waterfall defect, where the implant remains high but the tissue sags off the bottom of the implant. She decided that she would prefer to have the implants removed without replacement and so I performed an uplift procedure giving her a great shape using her own natural tissue.

This lady wanted to achieve a full profile type of look with a more contoured “implant shape” rather than a very natural take off at the top. I used a 450cc full profile implant with a firmer type of gel such that the volume stays in the upper pole more than implants with softer gels, designed for more natural results.

This lady had an uplift with a modest volume reduction to better suit her frame. She has a great result at 4 months post-op!

This lady was unhappy with her asymmetry and sagging. She underwent an uplift with a small reduction on the right side to improve her volume symmetry. A great result at 4 months.

An auto-augmentation is where the tissue in the lower outer area is moved and sutured into the cleavage to try to improve the longevity of the uplift and reduce stretch in the lower skin

This lady wanted to achieve a natural result from her enlargement, with a natural take-off at the top of the breast and with a proportionate breast volume overall. This was achieved with over the muscle implant placement, using a 380cc moderate profile implant.

Some people want a reduction but maintaining a “larger end of proportionate size” and some people want a reduction to take them to “the lower end of proportionate”. There are few people who want a result in between actually! This patient wanted to go at the lower end of proportionate with her size and I think we achieved that for her.

Many patients with a small amount of skin laxity and excess undergoing implant surgery want to try to avoid an uplift (and the associated scars and cost). Often this can be achieved with the compromise that the ni**le position and implant might sit a little lower than perfect. In patients who are not sure, often omitting the uplift is sensible as this burns no bridges - an uplift can always be added in the future if required.

This is a good demonstration of the difference in results at the time of surgery versus 3 months later. At the time of surgery, the implants look a little over projected and “stuck on” considering the patient wanted a natural result. But at three month follow up, you can see that her projection is more subtle with a great natural result 👌

Some people want to see a surgeon that specialises specifically in the operation that they want to undergo and also performs lots of it! As a breast specialist surgeon, I do not operate on any other part of the body, concentrating solely on improving my results in breast procedures. I have a few months waiting list for surgery despite doing a very high volume of operations every week as listed on this post.

This patient wanted to increase her breast volume to a proportionate size for her body frame and try to achieve a more contoured shape of cleavage rather than a very natural take-off. The implants are slightly more projected than the moderate profile that I use most frequently and they are made from a slightly firmer gel such that they hold their volume a little higher to add more contour. They also have more texture on the surface of the implant in order to help hold their position higher on the chest. Another happy patient 👌
