Peacocks is a multi-award-winning medical group and the largest independent orthotic company in the UK. It is now a fourth-generation business supplying medical equipment and clinical services to enhance the quality of life for patients. The Peacock Group Ltd started its life in 1903 under the name of J.C. Peacock and Son Ltd as a cutlery manufacturer, an industry in which it was successful for many years. Orthotics
We provide orthotics expertise and devices to customers across the UK, from clinical services to custom orthoses and footwear. Today's company blends decades of experience, with an excellent reputation for customer care, quality and innovation. We help patients to move more freely and comfortably. From diagnosis to delivery, we ensure that they get the support they need at the right time. Our insight and expertise also makes us the ideal partner for customers looking to provide an excellent yet sustainable orthotics service. Our service work starts in hospitals and healthcare locations across the UK, where our team of orthotists assess both private and NHS patients. We have been recognised worldwide for our expertise in areas from orthopaedics to rheumatology, paediatrics, diabetes, neurology, spinal and 3D printed orthotics.
119 years after its inception, Peacocks is proud to remain at the forefront of orthotic clinical service and manufacture in the UK, supporting thousands of patients a year in NHS secondary care, outpatients, primary care settings as well as to a cohort of private patients. Surgical and Medical Devices
Peacocks SME are specialists in supplying medical decontamination equipment to hospitals, clinics and surgeries. We supply a comprehensive range of medical washers, sterilisers / autoclaves and Ultrasonic Baths for the Healthcare sector. Peacocks are able to offer medical washers from 10 and 15 DIN washers to large multi-chamber tunnels and theatre cart and theatre bed washers, all compliant to HTM 2030 and EN ISO 15883 – 1,2 standards. We offer a full in-house installation, validation, and on-going maintenance service via our dedicated, fully qualified, factory-trained Engineering Team. We have worked closely with key NHS partners over many years to provide capital equipment for hospital theatres, sterilisation and decontamination solutions. This has enabled a degree of success and the Peacocks Group has enjoyed lasting relationships with many strategic NHS customers. During recent years, however, we recognised the changing political and NHS landscape and driving NHS ambition to achieve a Net Zero carbon footprint goal by 2040. As a business we felt compelled to help our long-standing partners to achieve this and worked tirelessly to develop an agile and unique approach to address the management of medical and clinical waste. Curo was launched in 2022 following four years of development, prototyping and trialing to create a mobile solution to process waste on-site at NHS hospitals, reduce carbon emissions and recycle the ‘floc’ produced during processing into products or renewable energy. We took the solution to Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to pilot it and are now implementing Curo units across other NHS sites.
