This is a great article on how the ‘seasonal’ element can affect your horse. If you’d like to know more or think your animal would benefit from some support then get in touch 💙

Winter is here, which means we are also in the Water Element. The energy for the Water Element is Conserving. So, it's ok to slow down!
The Water Element is linked to the Kidneys and Bladder. In Chinese medicine, the organs are not only physical entities but also encompass a broader spectrum of functions, including emotional and spiritual aspects. The Kidneys are considered the root of life and play a vital role in storing essence, controlling birth, growth, and development. The Water Element is also connected to the bones and marrow of the body. If your horse gets stiff once the winter months hit, the Water Element could use some support.
Fear is the primary emotion associated with the Water Element. Excessive fear or a lack of fear can impact the balance of the Water Element. Embracing and managing fear in a healthy way is essential for overall well-being.
Salty is the taste associated with the Water Element. So make sure your horse has 24/7 access to a good salt source to support the Kidneys and maintain the body's water balance.
Black or dark blue is the color associated with the Water Element. Wearing these colors or incorporating them into the environment is thought to support the balance of Water energy.
If your horse is exhibiting unexplained stiffness, new fears, sensitivity in or around the ears, tenderness over the kidney area their Water Element could be out of balance and need a little extra support 🐴💙🦄☯️

This was so special 💕

When Acu Sisters FINALLY get to meet in person it is ALWAYS a time of smiles!

Sue Stopforth of and Julia Hather of share: “Finally after 3 years of seeing each other over Zoom and Facebook meeting, Sue and I get to meet in person 😀

We’re having the most fabulous time up in Scotland (at the equine myofascial clinic), with an impromptu trip to a local prehistoric stone circle on Halloween.”

Our students come to us to help animals but along the way a LOT more than just happy animals happens!

One of the things our community of students say is that they also meet wonderful like minded people who share their passions for helping animals thrive. Not everyone may understand our obsession with points and horses and East Asian Medicine, but Sue Stopforth and Julia Hather, both from the UK, sure do.

After two years of dedicated study and successful exams, these two are now helping horses in their community.

Sue Stopforth of who we quote often from her wonderful social media feed, keeps up a busy and growing practice. She has even taught our Ambassador courses – using the EA curriculum to introduce horse lovers in her community to the wonders of acupressure.

Julia of is working with horses in her community too after retiring from a long career in dentistry! Quite a change from the dental office!

While both are now EA graduates and continuing their studies in our post-grad Expanded Program, they are also expanding their horizons into other related studies! So it is no surprise that they found the opportunity to finally meet in person at a clinic about equine myofascial work! We just LOVE how EA has fostered these connections among our amazing Acu Sisters!

Be sure to follow them both on social especially if you are in the UK. And look for more classes and services from them in the coming months! These two are such a treasure
