It's been busy in clinic after a week off!
I've got lots of energy because last week I went for a solo trip to Kielder to rest and recharge in nature, something I find extremely healing and soothing. We're blessed here in Northumberland to have so many green spaces to explore, so if you're feeling stressed out and tired, find some nature (even if it's just for 30 mins) - works wonders!
I am learning how to take pictures on my camera, so will share a few (of the better) snaps!

This morning I went for a forage walk in the woods with a dear friend and colleague. We collected plantain, nettle, sweet meadow, and cleavers. I learned a lot about their properties and I'm looking forward to making some nice teas! And the wild garlic was so tasty!

So.. this week in clinic I have seen A LOT of sciatica pain. What's going on? We sit all day, lots of us at desk jobs and unable to find the time to work out/stretch. Stress in general and tension in the hips, we're driving to work, sitting, then sitting all night when we get home.
A great thing you can do for yourself is to do the figure 4 stretch and the psoas stretch. Linking videos below!

To all who have elderly parents or if you're older: Watch out for scammers!
Yesterday my mum received a text from an unknown number - they asserted they were me, and that I'd had a problem with my laptop which needed repairing, and that my phone and microphone were on the blink (so couldn't receive a phone call)- these scammers told my mum she had to transfer 2,500 euros to a bank account urgently to help me.
My poor mum, in good faith, rang me, but I was working and didn't answer immediately, so she rang her bank to start the transfer and thankfully her bank picked up that it was a scam and stopped her. I later rang her and clarified.
I was horrified at how scammers can manipulate vulnerable, good hearted people. Warn your parents and elderly loved ones!

It's been a busy week in clinic! I've been dealing mostly with musculoskeletal problems: bad shoulders, sciatica, rib pain, hip pain and back pain alongside my regulars of course.
I'm proud to say that I've been able to reduce pain scores for everyone!! I can't always say that 100%, but this week has been great! Between sports massage, cupping, gua sha, and acupuncture techniques I have plenty of tools in the box.
Thank you to everyone who has recommended me to friends and family, your endorsement and trust is truly appreciated and helps me continue to work. ❤️

Merry Christmas to all, I hope you're all having a good rest and getting to spend time with loved ones.

This year has been yet another quick one, full of ups and downs. I'm thankful yet again to have amazing clients, colleagues, friends and family.
