Last Saturday we hosted our regular sibling support group for bereaved families at 💛

It was a special day filled with creativity, as everyone made beautiful Easter keepsakes to cherish 🐣

✨NICU Graduate Aaron✨
Aksa, one of our lovely neonatal nurses and her husband Agin had Aaron at 26+3 weeks, weighing just 400g. Aaron spent the majority of his time on NICU before being transferred to the paediatric ward to continue his journey. After 135 days he was finally discharge home but popped in for quick visit on route! It was so lovely to see them and we are thrilled that they are now able to start their life as a family of 4 at home! Aaron is absolutely thriving 🩵

This week is Nutrition & Hydration Week 🫐🥑🍎

We know how important good nutrition & hydration is, and how challenging it can be when in hospital. Over the next few days we will be sharing some tips on our story on how to make it a little bit easier to manage.

Also on Thursday 19th March there will be afternoon tea on the unit and on transitional care provided by the trust & supported by for you to enjoy!

After being with us on the unit since mid December, they’re now edging closer to discharge…such an incredible milestone! ✨

Meet Tife & Crystal, two of our amazing Staff Nurses currently completing their Neonatal QIS modules at university 📚

After gaining experience on the unit, our nurses undertake specialist post-registration education to develop the advanced skills needed to provide high quality neonatal care for our babies and families 🩵

Tife joined us in July 2024, bringing a wide range of nursing experience from London, and Crystal joined us in January 2024, moving to the UK from Trinidad & Tobago 🌍

We’re proud to support our staff in developing their expertise and continuing their learning journey 🌱

Mini graduation vibes today 🎓✨🎉

As neither made it to the real ceremony, we had our own little celebration for Abbie & Lauren, who’ve officially graduated with a Master of Medical Science in Advanced Clinical Practice from University of Sheffield ✨🩺👩🏻‍⚕️🌟

Over 6 years of university studies to get to this point, such an incredible achievement! We’re all so proud of you both 🩵🩵

A few weeks ago some of the Ward 35 staff hosted a Christmas sibling support group which was supported by our charity ❤️

It was an amazing turn out and the children had a lovely time making lots of Christmas crafts! 🎨🎄✨

🎄 It’s our annual Christmas craft competition on Ward 35! Our talented team has been busy creating handmade decorations for our ward tree. Judging starts soon, with prizes from our senior nursing team! Stay tuned for the winners…though with this much creativity, they’re all festive favourites. ✨
