Our thoughts are with the families of the two firefighters of Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (Official) and those of the member of the public who passed last night at an incident in Bicester.

In times like these we as a collective emergency services community come together to support each other during the sad times.

Stopped at a red light and see blue lights? 🚦

Our crews are specially trained to find a way around stationary traffic, if safe to do so. This may include using oncoming lanes or a filter lane.

If it is unsafe, our vehicles will:

📏 Keep a safe distance behind the queue
🔇 Turn sirens off (but keep lights on)
🚑 Wait until they can proceed safely.

If an emergency vehicle is behind you at a red light, do not cross the white line — this is a traffic offence!

🚙 If you're first in the queue, remain where you are until the light turns green or until the emergency vehicle has safely passed.

Our biggest thanks to Tent & Awning Clinic for once again repairing one of our Openhouse Products responder bags which had some damaged zips and straps and also our Hypoglycemia Kit pouch which had some damage from having a crest removed.

Older bags still capable of doing the job just as well as the day they were originally in service.
