Good luck to our resident electrician and relative Stephen Little who starts his heroic 1,000 mile+ run from John O'Groats to Land's End today, hoping to raise £20,000 for Pancreatic Cancer and Cancer Research UK in memory of his late mother 💙

We were so pleased to welcome back our wonderful Robert, who played the accordion for us twice this month! His lively music brought smiles, and plenty of cheer to our residents throughout the wet and chilly February. 🎶😊

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful educational talk on “Life in the 1930s.” 🕰️
Linda brought along original items from the era, including a fireplace bellows, hot water bottle, iron, and bed warmer, which brought back many fond memories and sparked lovely conversations.

🎶 With the New Year just around the corner, Robert treated our residents to uplifting, joyful music that brightened the day.
Hand in hand, we sang “Auld Lang Syne” at the end to celebrate the New Year. 🎶

✨🎄Our residents have been keeping wonderfully busy throughout December, enjoying a whole host of festive Christmas activities!

🎅We were delighted to welcome North East Producer Pantomime for a fantastic performance of A Christmas Carol, which brought plenty of smiles and festive cheer. 🎭📖

We also loved the beautiful carol singing from Poteland Primary School, filling our home with Christmas spirit and wonderful young voices. 🎶❤️

Alongside this, residents enjoyed Christmas bingo and quizzes, as well as getting creative with festive arts and crafts 🎨.

It has been a month full of magic. ✨🎄

🎄Our residents had a lovely Christmas lunch at Beacon Lough Baptist Church last week, where they enjoyed spending time with people from other care homes and celebrating together. The lunch was absolutely tasty. Thank you very much to everyone at the Church for having us and making it such a special day for all. ✨🎄

This afternoon we hosted our monthly Popular Education Talk with Linda, and this month’s topic was the ''History of Spain''.
Our excellent chef Paul went all out, preparing a delicious spread of tapas paired with freshly made sangria, bringing a true taste of Spain to our home.
Our residents absolutely loved the vibrant Spanish-themed atmosphere ,great food, great learning, and great company.

Today, we pause to remember and honour the brave men and women who served—and continue to serve—our country with courage, dedication, and sacrifice.
At Grange Lea, our residents and staff came together to reflect, share stories, and pay tribute to those who gave so much for our freedom.

“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”
