We’re delighted to be supporting The Grove Newcastle with their Clothes & Food Drive on Sunday 7 December, collecting much-needed items for The People’s Kitchen, St Vincent’s and Crisis.

If you can’t make it to The Grove on the day, Winnovation Training is now an official donation drop-off point.

Pop your items in to us anytime before 7 December and we’ll deliver them on your behalf.

💙 Items needed include:
👚 Good quality winter clothing (coats, hats, gloves, socks, jumpers, waterproofs)
🛒 Tinned & dried foods, sauces, noodles, snacks, baking ingredients
🐾 Pet food (tinned/dried), toiletries, cleaning supplies, sleeping bags, rucksacks, hand warmers, flasks

Please make sure all food donations are unopened.

They do not need duvets, shirts, suits or summer clothing.

We’ve had an exciting week... and even more excitement ahead!

First up, a HUGE warm welcome to Sam, the newest member of our Adult Education Team 🎉

Sam will be delivering our pre-employment programme and employed training, so you’ll be seeing a fresh new face in the classroom. We can’t wait to see you shine, Sam, welcome aboard!

A massive congratulations to Zaraa-May Hardy on achieving her Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care! 🌟 Amazing work!! we’re all super proud! (Photo below!)

Next week we kick off our two-week Moving Into Care courses in Byker and Sunderland! 🙌

Learners will be completing TWO fantastic qualifications:

📘 Week 1: NCFE CACHE Level 1 Award in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children and Young People’s Settings
📙 Week 2: NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Dignity and Safeguarding in Adult Health & Social Care

Plus: everyone will receive Moving & Handling or First Aid training to boost their skills even further 💪

And throughout this month, we’re recognising UK Disability History Month (UKDHM) — highlighting the history, achievements and ongoing fight for equality and human rights for disabled people.
