Last night, we held our first Strength and Conditioning class for runners! πŸƒ

Physiotherapy Matters work with a highly skilled and experienced team of physiotherapists, who specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.

We recognise the vital role strength and conditioning plays in improving running performance and reducing injury risk. Drawing on our combined experience in physiotherapy as well as strength coaching, we are proud to offer this bespoke Running Strength and Conditioning class at Health and Exercise Mattersβ€”helping participants build resilience, enhance performance, and achieve their fitness goals.

What is involved in a Running S&C Class?
Our running S+C class is a perfect addition to your running training, including resistance, core and plyometric exercises. With a focus on strength, speed, core control and power, the exercises are designed to target specific muscle groups used in running. We believe in developing functional strength and stability from the ground up.

Why come to Health & Exercise Matters for Running S&C Classes?
The classes are physiotherapy led, and have a focus on injury prevention through strengthening and functional movement exercises. By improving strength and control, and working on plyometric and power based exercises, running form and efficiency can be improved, reducing the risk of common running related injuries such as ITB pain, lateral hip pain, plantar fasciitis.

How to get involved?
Our Running S&C classes can be booked in blocks of 5 for Β£65. Before committing to a block, we are offering a FREE taster class so you can ensure it is right for you

Hello everyone and happy September πŸ‚ πŸ‚

I just wanted to share some newsβ€”we have not only met our 'I would walk 500 Miles' target for August, but we've surpassed it!

As a team, we've collectively reached a total of 1,380,048 steps!!!

To be honest, there was a moment earlier this month when I thought we might have taken on more than we could handle, especially since we're just a small group here. But guess what? WE DID IT!! Woo hoo!!!

Now what other challenges can we do?? πŸ€”

As August draws to a close, we're about to discover if we've succeeded in covering 500 miles this month!

On Saturday, Danielle clocked nearly 7 kilometers while strolling among the sunflowers, capping off the day with a well-earned glass of Pimms! 🌻

How do you think we have done? πŸ™ƒ

Our Business Manager Nikki has been racking up some steps in Bonnie Scotland

Nikki and the family walked an impressive 10,000 steps to the Fall of Dochart where they paused for a well-earned pint 🍻. I’d say it was thoroughly deserved! πŸ˜ƒ
