Pop-Up Plant Sale tomorrow! We're opning up on Tuesday 19 May at 10am until 12 noon to sell yet more lovely plants. We still have plenty of cosmos, poppies, erigeron, dianthus, foxgloves and more. We are a small charity community centre, and every purchase goes directly toward keeping our doors open. We strive to keep our prices way below local garden centres—so you get a steal while supporting a great cause.

Massive thank you from myself and on behalf of the Fairways Team to everyone who attended yesterday’s fundraiser - your contributions were overwhelming, and are so very much appreciated. We managed to raise approximately £800! It goes a long way to supporting not just the yoga community but the community as a whole, including everyone who uses the space and relies on it as a healing sanctuary and a home away from home. Many thanks to those of you who contributed but were unable to attend. Special shout-out to Mother Fairways a.k.a. for keeping the place running and showering it with love and light, to for relentless support, charm & assistance and to our enthusiastic newcomers over the last 12 months. Finally, I would like to wish a lovely Christmas, peace and happiness to every each and every House of Ashtangi for your dedication, love and friendship throughout 2025 ☺️🥰🙏

Join us on Sunday December 21st at 4pm for a fundraising yoga session! Before we close up before Christmas lets send love and thanks to the building that makes it all possible - Fairways Centre 🏡

I would like to donate all the money raised, so the more you contribute, the more Fairways gets! Not only that - but we will be starting at 4pm for a one hour pre-class workshop PLUS a very special secret guest! The theme this year will be based around opening up the upper body and especially the shoulder girdle

You do not have to attend the 4pm session, - feel free to come along to the 5pm class as normal, or vice versa, or both! 😉

If you would like to come to either of the sessions please let me know one way or another, so I can keep a track on capacity. For those of you who have a block booking please note that you won’t lose a class. This is a purely charitable event, and as Christmas is a time for giving this is a great opportunity to give to a charity* that means something to you personally 🎄

7 week Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga Course - every Friday - 11.30am - 1pm

Starts Friday 12th September 2025 to 24 October 2025 inclusive

At Fairways Community Centre, Hoylake Avenue, Newcastle, NE7 7UN

Course Cost - £80 or £15 per class

Join Vicky on this introduction to Ashtanga Yoga - an energetic and flowing style of Yoga made up of a number of fixed series of dynamic postures (asana) linked with flowing movements (vinyasa) focusing on breath and internal locks (bandhas) concluding with vital time to rest and restore (Savasana).

Over the 7 week course you will touch on the history and purpose of Ashtanga Yoga but primarily focus on the asanas in the Primary Series. Each week you will progress through this sequence, breaking down the asanas in more detail than is possible in a normal led class. Ideally attend the whole course but you are welcome to come to individual classes. The last session will be a wrap up of everything covered.

Whether you want to try something new, or hope to build your confidence to attend an Ashtanga Class in the future - all are welcome.
