We regularly review the support provided to our clients to ensure that we are successfully meeting their needs and achieving their aims and objectives. We encourage feedback from our clients, their relatives, friends and representatives. We aim to provide a tailor made package of care and support that contributes to the overall health and well-being of its clients, whilst incorporating individual needs, wishes and preferences. We will work in partnership with other services and health professionals, to support our clients in maximising their full potential by promoting independence and, wherever possible, participation within our local community. Before we can deliver services and in order to meet our client’s needs, we ensure that a full care needs assessment is completed by our experienced staff and a detailed plan of care is agreed. We ensure that our clients’ needs are thoroughly re-assessed as often as required to ensure that the care and support provided has the flexibility to respond to any change of needs. Our rigorous recruitment and in-house training procedure ensures we continuously provide the highest calibre of staff. 🩺 World Sepsis Day: Know the Signs. Act Fast. Save Lives.
Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that can arise from even minor infections. It moves fast — and so must we.

🎯 Recognise the Signs of Sepsis

Sepsis can be hard to spot, but early detection is critical. Look out for:
- 🧠 Confusion, slurred speech, or unusual drowsiness
- 🌡️ Very high or low temperature, shivering
- 😰 Rapid breathing or breathlessness
- 🩸 Rash that doesn’t fade when pressed
- 🖐️ Pale, blotchy, or blue skin, lips, or tongue
- 🚫 No urine output all day (or in 12 hours for children)
- 😵 Feeling extremely unwell or “just not right”

If you notice these signs in yourself or someone else, trust your instincts. Call 999 or go to A&E immediately.

Sepsis doesn’t discriminate. It can affect anyone — babies, older adults, people with chronic conditions, or even those recovering from surgery. Awareness saves lives.

Before SureCare Newcastle & North Tyneside can deliver any services, a full care needs assessment is completed by our experienced staff and a detailed plan of care agreed upon with the relevant individuals. We regularly review the care and support provided to ensure it has the flexibility to respond to any change of needs or personal requirements.
