Meet the new team.

We have two new members of our team, Leah and Cait.

Cait is a Resource Administrator, some of the key aspects of my role include maintaining and monitoring rotas, ensuring safe and sufficient staffing levels in line with CQC guidance, and acting as the first point of contact for frontline staff.

Wow wow wow! What a day we had!
Thank you so much to everyone who came to celebrate KEYFORT turning 20 🩷🥳
The room was filled to the brim with people we support, staff members old and new, family and friends. A fabulous day of thanks for all the support over the years. The theme of the day was people talking about how special KEYFORT is, it was wonderful hearing about friendships that have been made along the way and we are still overwhelmed with such a fabulous turn out. We couldn’t do it without our amazing Staff Team who all play a part in making the magic happen 🤩 Watching people we support get up on the mike and take stage presenting was the absolute ultimate for us! Do you know we provide support for people who are studying at University?

⭐At 18 years old, X took a big step toward independence by moving from her home to study for her degree in Newcastle. X is a wheelchair user with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and had never received support outside of the family before.

KEYFORT worked closely with X to build a team of support workers that she is comfortable and confident with. X is now approaching her second year of experiencing the student life, all while living in university accommodation in the centre of the city. Her team are there to support with all aspects of this 24/7, whether it’s a busy day of lectures or social events in the evenings. During the summer holidays, X returns home and continues to receive flexible support through KEYFORT's North West branch. X journey is a testament to what’s possible when the right support is in place- living independently, studying, socialising, and building a future on her own terms.⭐
