😨 Fear is the emotional reaction to an identifiable, specific and immediate threat, such as an injury 🤕

Fear can lead to avoidance of movement or activities that people with chronic pain associate with the exacerbation or occcurrence of pain ⭕.

When is comes to Tendon Injuries.. Rest is rarely Best ☝️

Exercise is the most evidence based treatment for tendinopathy – tendons need to be loaded progressively so that they can develop greater tolerance to the loads that an individual needs to endure in their day-to-day life.

Tendons symptoms can improve with rest however this generally means a reduction in the amount of load. This can give people a false sense of recovery as once load is reintroduced the tendon pain tends to return.

In a vast majority of cases tendinopathy will not improve without this vital load stimulus.

A groin injury can be difficult to diagnose and treat due to its complex anatomy. Clinical and diagnostic findings are not always harmonious.
📝 Groin related injuries tend to be found in kicking sports such as football. Werner et al (2018) found that in football players hip and groin injuries contributed 1,812 out of 12,736 injuries (14%), with adductor-related injury as the most common of hip and groin injuries (n=1139, 63%) .
📚 Specific exercise programs focusing on groin injury prevention has been shown to reduce risk of injury by 41% in football players (Haroy et al 2019)
