We'd like to extend a huge thank you to the League of Friends of the Alnwick Hospital for their generous donation of some beautifully refurbished chairs.

The chairs have been placed in the conservatory of Alnwick Infirmary for patients, visitors and staff to enjoy.

These refreshed seats help create a more comfortable and welcoming space for everyone who uses this lovely area.

A big thank you also goes to St Michael's Church Four and Twenty Committee, who very kindly donated towards the cost of the refurbishment.

We’re proud to support Northumbria Healthcare’s maternity team in delivering high-quality, realistic training that puts patient safety first.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Bright Charity funded a new emergency trolley, helping staff take part in effective, real-time simulation training.

The impact of this work has been recognised nationally, with the team shortlisted at the HSJ Patient Safety Awards 2025 and in the RCM Training Award finals, taking place in London on 6 February 2026.

Following the official opening of our newly refurbished, state-of-the-art MRI facility this week, more patients are now able to access scans each month at North Tyneside General Hospital.

The upgraded scanner offers improved image quality and quicker scan times, helping to enhance patient care and experience.
