Don't hurt your knees

An article I read from VegOut. I quote,

Curiosity releases dopamine, keeping motivation alive.
Movement boosts oxygen and blood flow, fuelling the hippocampus (the brain’s memory hub).
Purpose activates the prefrontal cortex, improving focus and emotional regulation.
Gratitude strengthens neural pathways linked to resilience and calm.
This totally got me thinking about what we do in Tai Chi & Qigong. I don't know about you, but I am always curious, figuring out how to let go of physical and mental tension so I can root, sink and expand better in my practice.
Watch this video if you like https://youtu.be/OPPKeXi2M9o?si=9TW6NE34bp0ZFBkz

All our movements, whether we are practicing Qigong or forms, are intentional. Not mindless. There is a purpose to each movement as we use each joint correctly and effectively.

We can be grateful for every movement we do as they improve our strength, mobility and mental acuity.

With much gratitude, I have had an awesome master and amazing mentor who have helped me shape, develop and refine my skills in Tai Chi.

Message me if you are interested in my in-person and online classes.

I don't view teaching as a chore. I enjoy very much teaching the skills and techniques that are required to practice Tai Chi well. The willingness of my students to learn enabled me to become the teacher they deserve. I have put a video together of one of our typical classes in the park. Without sinking the feet into the ground! Actually, Master Ting used to say feel as if your knees are on the ground. Basically he wants us to sink our feet so deep that it feels like our knees are on the ground. Sinking the feet is just the beginning, I am working on sinking my hips/ tailbone, my elbows into the ground. Please click on the video below and you can practice with us sinking your feet deep into the ground. I run classes on Sundays at 12:30pm. Monday/ Tuesday and Fridays at 9:30/10am. Please message me if you are interested in these classes. It is Wendy from Tai Chi the Way of life. 😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Yielding” to others doesn’t come naturally—it takes wisdom from above!
It's a concept frequently used in the practice of Tai Chi.
But what is yielding?
Well, like any responsible teacher, I asked Google🤔:
--> to give way to pressure or influence : submit to urging, persuasion, or entreaty. 2. : to give up and cease resistance or contention : submit, succumb. facing an enemy who would not yield.
To say yielding takes wisdom from above assumes it's a positive attribute, but what is your take on yielding to others? Definitely the natural reaction is to go against the external pressure or force. We don't need much imagination to know the outcome.
The stronger force or pressure wins, the weaker force will break. Tai Chi principles ask practitioners to yield, that is, don't go against the force. This can also apply to how we deal with life, don't you think? Yielding can save you from breaking and ensures you will have a better outcome.
I have made a video regarding yielding as a much better, a correct way in dealing with external force or pressure. This is Wendy from Tai Chi the Way of Life. Thank you for watching. If you like what you see, please subscribe to my YouTube channel. 🙂🙂🙂❤️❤️❤️🎈🎈🎈

I chuckled to myself as I was reading an article this morning with the heading "8 subtle behaviors that make people look and feel younger than their age".

Believe it or not, one of the subtle behaviours was how we move, how we carry our bodies. People who seem younger often have a kind of fluidity to the way they move. Ooooo, did it say 'fluid', sounds a lot like someone who does Tai Chi. No?! 😁 It continued to say, 'There’s a lightness to their body language—shoulders relaxed, posture open.....' aaaaaa, did they say open posture and relaxed shoulders?! 😄 Movement affects mood, and mood affects how you carry yourself.

It’s all connected. I am rolling on the floor by this point...It's all connected....did you read that statement?! "It's all connected". Not only should your body be connected as a whole during movement, body and mind should be connected too.
I think I can say, practicing Tai Chi can actually make you feel and look younger. Here's a video that might help you to understand Tai Chi a little bit more. Enjoy 😘😘😘. https://youtu.be/9a3yMtXai-w?si=r-uHe2SnWlqIudiy. It is Tai Chi the Way of Life Wendy Chan

Produce from the garden.

I am a beginner in growing vegetables 😁.
Nurturing the little seed's needs is a daily activity, which requires consistency and patience. Just like Tai Chi, to become good at it, requires patience and consistency.

Please feel free to message me if you are interested in my classes. It's Wendy from Tai Chi the Way of Life. 😁😁😁
