Kerry, our Newcastle Service Manager, has officially passed her CQC interview and is now recognised as the Safe Lead for Be Caring Newcastle. What an achievement!

Since joining us in 2019 as a Support Worker, Kerry has continued to grow and develop from Team Leader to Care Coordinator to Service Manager. Kerry has shown exceptional dedication and leadership every step of the way and we couldn’t be prouder of her.

Kerry, thank you for everything you bring to our team. Your hard work, passion, and commitment to safe, person centred care make a real difference every day. We’re so lucky to have you.

Today we're joining Skills for Care's national campaign - and we're using it to celebrate our incredible LIFE team. 💙

LIFE, which stands for Living Independently, for Everyone, has been part of Be Caring since 2010, supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health needs to build skills, grow in confidence, and live fulfilling, independent lives in the North East.

Our LIFE colleagues show up every single day, in people's homes, in the community, in their supported living services - and they do it with patience, dedication and skill. They learn how each person communicates. They celebrate the small wins as loudly as the big ones. They build the kind of trust that changes lives.

David, who we support through LIFE Outreach, put it better than we ever could:
"My social worker brought Be Caring in and that changed my life. I do loads for myself now, I'm independent. I've turned my life around. My Mam's happy."

Tingley RunFIT has been bringing people together since 2016, offering safe, welcoming weekly runs for all abilities - from complete beginners to marathon runners. With qualified Run Leaders and a brilliant ethos of nobody ever getting left behind, it is so much more than just a run group. Whether members are looking to get fitter, hit a race goal, enjoy the social side, or simply benefit from getting outside and being around others - there is a place for everyone at TRF.

Be Caring’s sponsorship will go towards training more Run Leaders, meaning more spaces and more availability for people in the local community to get involved.
