🌟 We had an amazing day at The King's Trust ‘Get Hired in Social Care’ event! 🌟

Our recruitment team, Craig and Savannah, met some incredible young people who were excited to learn more about the opportunities and rewards of working in care. 💛

A big thank you to the King’s Trust for inviting us along - it’s always inspiring to share what a career in care can mean, both for those who choose this path and for the people they support.

Congratulations Natasha 🧡🧡

Be Caring Manchester 🥰

We’re celebrating our wonderful coordinator, Natasha Smith (formerly Carroll), who has been a dedicated part of Be Caring Manchester for 8 years! Last week, Natasha said "I do" to the love of her life 💍.

Natasha’s journey with us began in August 2017, starting as a carer and working her way up to office staff. Over the years, she’s become a cornerstone of our team, and we’re incredibly proud of all she’s accomplished.

A fun memory we all share: Natasha and Ina’s unforgettable rendition of Missy Elliott on our staff night out (let’s just say, the singing could use a little work, but the laughs were priceless)!

When asked about the best part of working at Be Caring, Natasha shared, "It’s my second family. Through the highs and lows, we stick together."

Here’s to many more memories and milestones ahead, Natasha! 💕

Our North Tyneside team recently heard from Jeffrey that he really missed having a dog in his life. Straight away, they began looking into how they could make this happen, and that’s when they connected with Brian and his Dalmatian, Finley, through Wag & Company. 🐾

It’s safe to say Jeffrey and Finley hit it off straight away, and we think they’re going to be wonderful friends. 💜

A big thank you to all our colleagues who are working hard to make moments like this possible for the people we care for. 🌟

🌟 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 – 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 🌟

“My journey in the care sector began back in 2002. I was just starting out, full of purpose, but I had no idea how challenging the road ahead would be. Days would begin as early as 5 in the morning and stretch long into the night - sometimes finishing after 10:00pm. I was paid by the minute, not the hour. Every call, every visit, every minute mattered - but only to the company’s payroll, not to the people doing the work.”

Darren, our Employee Voice Representative in Sheffield, has seen the very real highs and lows of care work.

“I stood beside people during their final moments and watched as loved ones said their last goodbyes. Those experiences never leave you.”

There were times when Darren almost left care altogether.

“At the end of many long days, I’d sit in my car, drained and overwhelmed. That feeling of deep exhaustion would hit me - sometimes I’d just want to cry. But I’d sleep, get up, and do it all over again. I kept going, not for the companies I worked for - they never truly cared about us Carers. To them, we were just numbers, just a cost.”

Since joining Be Caring, everything changed for Darren.

“I finally work for a company that sees us, hears us, and values us. A place where carers are treated like people, not statistics. I’m paid properly - by the hour, for the full shift. There’s time to breathe, to reflect, to recover. There’s less pressure, more compassion. I now have a manager who truly supports and cares for her staff, and for the first time in a long time, I feel like part of a team.”

Darren’s dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. He’s been nominated for the Commitment to Care Award at the Sheffield Care Awards, spoken proudly at the Home Care Association Conference, and featured on BBC Panorama with his colleague Marro and client Martin.

“Thank you, Be Caring, for giving me and so many others a reason to stay, a reason to hope, and a reason to keep doing what we do best: caring.”

We had such a lovely time catching up with colleagues at our 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 as we celebrated the start of this year’s 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 & 𝐂𝐚𝐤𝐞 events 💙

It was great to see so many familiar faces and to recognise the amazing work of our team with 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 and 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 & 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 - a big thank you to everyone who goes the extra mile for the people we support every day! ✨

We also had some fun with a game of Guess the Baby featuring baby photos of our office team... some were easier to guess than others!

Thank you to everyone who came along - we loved seeing you all and celebrating together.
