Im now offering home school tutoring (whether thats homework help, revision for exams or general revision/understanding on a subject/subjects on school work) alongside my children’s counselling services.

I'm offering home schooling and tutoring sessions to support children’s learning in a confident, safe and nurturing environment. Whether thats in your home or on Google Meets / Zoom.

Hi there to the newbies and new January starters! Just a new hello again from me and Mind Bloom🦄🥥🌴🌻🐚..

My names Laura and I'm a child and teenage counsellor in person or online Zoom. I have previously been a qualified teacher (in mostly SEN and SEMH schools) as well as a SENCO, and now, I am a counsellor. I am here to make a difference, I am beyond passionate and we all know how much a child's mental health impacts themselves mostly, their home/school life and their families lives.

I know the NHS waiting list is years long and I can help ease and buffer their symptoms until they are on the NHS with various techniques of CBT, mindfulness, humanistic counselling, mental health counselling and more that match their specific needs. Whether this is any type of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, if they have autism or ADHD, exam stress and more. It is a chance for them to talk freely and in turn help ease their symptoms.

Mental health is just as important as physical health. It affects how we think, feel, and act every single day. Taking care of our mental health is essential for overall well-being. As humans we often think the gym at £30 a month, or weekly counselling sessions at £35 a week is a lot. But when we compare it to going out once a week and we spend £35 plus on alcohol and food without a thought. Or buy 1 dress at £35 we will never wear again once its worn. But when it comes to our mental well-being and our children's mental well-being, we hesitate at these prices.. When your mental and physical health will be the best investment you put into life and your children's lives.

Remember, some Sundays are for rest; do some meditating, journal, go for a walk or just chill but at least write 5 things down you're grateful for.

You are the greatest project you'll ever work on. Restart. Reset. Refocus. As many times as you need to, just don't give up. How you do anything is how you do everything!

'Mind Bloom' - Child&Teen Counselling, Parent Help and tutoring / home schooling.

This is my official flyer I am going to be handing out to schools, parents and children themselves. If you know anyone who may relate or who may need help, please feel free to forward on my expertise because no child should be waiting years on the NHS list to get the help they need while they presently still suffer; this is why I'm here. I can help buffer these symptoms with various different techniques. Not only this, but as a parent, I also encourage you to have a session with me if you also need help for tips at home or if you just want to understand your child more due to their needs.

A little about me:
I am a qualified teacher (PGCE/QTS) that has worked in schools (mainstream and SEN) for years and I have therefore seen first hand how mental health and SEN can affect children in many different ways when they aren't getting the right help.

My most recent job in Qatar, I was the SENCO (special educational needs co-ordinator) which was a managerial teaching role overseeing all SEND and SEMH students from the ages of 2 - 18. This role involved copious amounts of counselling and specified counselling for each child & teenagers different needs.

I have a First Class Degree in Psychology.
I have an official level 4 Diploma in CBT and Counselling with years of experience.

HAPPYYYY MONDAY 🌴 - there's a positive week ahead if we have the mindset it's going to be!

Did you know..

1. If you sit in silence for 10 minutes every day with no stimulation..
2. If you stop using words about yourself poorly (talk to yourself how you'd talk to your friends or family) and stop judging people.. Just stay in your own lane and focus on yourself..
3. If you write 5 things you're grateful for every morning before touching your phone
4. If you don't go on your phone the first hour of waking (something I'm getting back into myself)
5. If you go for a walk for 20 - 30 minutes everyday outside
6. If you read just one page a day of an insightful book which fills your mind with positivity and new perspectives
7. If you exercise (don't forget your rest days) and if you're not a gym goer; a fast paced walk, a light jog, a 20 minute home workout or a yoga home workout through YouTube..
.. Your life would immediately get better even after the first day and it can change your mindset so quickly. Within a month of this every day, I can guarantee you will see a difference in your anxiety, depression or those low moments. Then it just becomes a habit. Humans are such creatures of habit.
