We can't get the Great North Run out of our heads!

One of our runners even said that it was his 'favourite half-marathon'.

One of our Great North Run highlights was hearing how much Percy Hedley means to people. Garry, one of our teachers from Northern Counties School, caught up with Kelly Scott from BBC North East after an emotional finish on Sunday.

Molly came in to Northern Counties this week to pick up her Maths and Statistics GCSE results from her teacher Jamie. She passed both meaning she has left Northern Counties School with three GCSE's, Maths, Statistics and Art 👏

Molly started at Gateshead College last week and whilst we're sad she's left Northern Counties, we wish her all the luck in the world!

A massive congratulations to all of yesterday's Great North Run runners! 🏃‍♂️

It was a brilliant day and we couldn't be prouder of 💜

Meet the Robinsons', who are just two of our amazing Great North Run runners.

They're running for Niall and raising money for Percy Hedley school.

Niall, Richard's son and Aisling's brother, has autism and has attended Percy Hedley School since he was 5 years old. Despite having left our services for 8 years, the family still raise money for children like him.

Yesterday the Horizons media team went to the Grainger Market for an exciting project with Gardiner Richardson. Daryn and Richard checked out various stalls such as Bryan Muers & Son Quality Fruiterers, Geordie Banger Co., Lindsay Bros Fishmongers, and Cheap Tab shop (a sweet shop).

In the coming weeks they'll be interviewing some of these businesses for what is sure to be an amazing project!
