If you’ve ever struggled to lift your arm properly, this will help.

Look at Luke in the video.

Same position.
Same person.
Sitting down in both clips.

But the movement is completely different.

On one side, the arm barely goes up.
Stops early.
Feels blocked.
Can’t even reach his head with a straight arm.

That’s restriction.
Lack of shoulder mobility.

Now look at the other side.

Arm goes straight up.
Full range of movement.
Hand reaches the head easily.

Same athlete.
Just after treatment.

Luke Stebbens trains MMA.
Works hard.
Busy life like most people in general

Training, sitting, working, daily stress… it all adds up.

And here’s the important bit.

The fix wasn’t just working on the shoulder.

We looked at the bigger picture.
Upper back.
Shoulder girdle.
Soft tissue around the joint.

Because the body doesn’t move in isolation.

When those areas start moving properly again…
the shoulder suddenly has space to do its job.

That’s the difference you’re seeing side by side.

So let me ask you something.

If you lifted your arm straight up right now…
would it move freely?
Or does it feel like it hits a wall?

If something feels blocked or restricted, contact us and we’ll take a proper look at it.

If you’re training hard but not looking after your legs, this will help.

This is me and one of our local Zurbaran racing cycling team members.

Strong rider.
Massive engine.
But like most cyclists………
tight hips.
Heavy quads.
Glutes not always firing properly.

Hours in the saddle does that.

When you’re constantly flexed forward, the hip flexors tighten.
Glutes switch off.
Hamstrings start complaining.
And sooner or later, the lower back joins in.

That’s why soft tissue work matters.
Not just when you’re injured.
But to keep the engine running smoothly.

We worked through the quads, hamstrings, glutes.
Opened up the hips.
Improved mobility.
Got things moving the way they should.

Because performance isn’t just about power.
It’s about movement.

I love supporting local teams.
Not just when they’re in pain.
But helping them stay consistent, stay training, stay racing.

So let me ask you:

If you’re putting the miles in…
are you giving your legs the recovery they need?

If you’ve ever struggled to turn your head properly, this will help.

Look at the first photo.

Trying to turn left.
Stops early.
Feels stiff.
Feels blocked.

That’s what a lot of people show me in an assessment.

They don’t even realise how limited it is…
until I say,
“Turn your head as far as you can.”

And it barely moves.

Most people think it’s just “sleeping funny”
or “getting older.”

But usually?

It’s lack of mobility in the neck.
Upper traps tight.
Upper back stiff.
Shoulder girdle not moving well.

So the cervical spine has to fight for rotation.

Now look at the after photo.

More range.
Smoother movement.
Less stiffness.
Head turns properly to the left.

That didn’t come from forcing it.
It came from the right soft tissue work
and improving joint mobility around the neck and upper back.

Here’s the important bit.

If you can’t rotate your head properly:

Driving becomes awkward.
Training feels tight.
Headaches start creeping in.
Even your posture changes.

The neck is small…
but it controls a lot.

So let me ask you:

When you turn your head left and right,
does it feel equal?

Or does one side feel like it hits a wall?

Celebrating Life. Always.

Two years ago today.
Same day. Same time.

Lachlan was having a stroke that changed his life forever.

Today, at that exact same time, he was on the bike.
5 miles done.
1km on the rowing machine.
Plus a few of my “surprise” exercises and drills thrown in the middle 😅

I started working with Lachlan back in July, when he was still recovering using a wheelchair and his walking stick (which he knows I don’t like 🤣🤣🤣).
Fast forward around 7 months, a mixture of training, sports, deep tissue massage, stretching, mobility and the wheelchair is gone.
The stick? Mostly gone too.

Lachlan always says I help him.
But the truth is he helped me.

Working together has made me a better therapist.
The challenges, the problem-solving, understanding the person behind the injury, the muscle connections, the mindset all of it pushed me to be better.

Today isn’t just about training.
It’s about life, happiness, success, hard work, determination, and pure willpower.

It’s a privilege to celebrate this day with you, Lachlan and of course with the real boss, your amazing wife Joanne.

This road hasn’t been smooth, and there’s still plenty more work ahead… but today we celebrate how far you’ve come.

Congratulations on this huge milestone.
Let’s keep pushing forward.

And yes have that glass of red wine today 🍷
You’ve more than earned it, my friend ❤️💪

If you’ve ever struggled with shoulder pain or tightness, this will help.

Look at the first photo.
Big gap between the hands.
Movement stops early.
Shoulder feels blocked.

That’s not weakness.
That’s lack of shoulder mobility.

I see this a lot with young fighters and in adult’s around Durham and Bishop Auckland.
Strong.
Explosive.
But the shoulder joint doesn’t move the way it should.

When the shoulder can’t rotate properly, other areas take over.
Neck tightens.
Upper back works overtime.
And the rotator cuff gets irritated.

Now look at the second photo.

Same boxer.
Same strength.
Different movement.

Hands almost touching.
Joint moving freely.
Less restriction.
Less stress through the shoulder.

That change didn’t come from punching harder or doing more press-ups.
It came from improving joint mobility.

This is the bit people skip.
They train power…
but forget the joint needs to move first.

So let me ask you:
If your shoulders feel tight or painful…
when was the last time you checked how well they actually move?

If you’ve ever struggled with lower back pain, this will help.

Watch the first part of the video.
Legs don’t open much.
Movement feels blocked.
Hips stop early.

That’s not a back problem.

That’s stiff glutes.
And a tight piriformis.

I see this all the time, very common in runners, rugby and football.

Strong lads.
Plenty of power.
But the hips don’t move the way they should.

When the piriformis and glutes are tight, the hips can’t open properly.
So the lower back steps in to help.
Over and over again.

That’s where the pain starts.

Now watch the second part of the video.

Same player.
Same strength.
Different movement.

Wider stance.
More hip mobility.
Glutes finally doing their job.
Lower back not taking all the load.

That change didn’t come from stretching the lower back.
It came from addressing what most people ignore.

The glutes.
The piriformis.

This is why treating the back on its own doesn’t work long term.
You have to look lower.

So let me ask you:
If you’ve got lower back pain…
when was the last time anyone checked your hips?

If you’ve ever struggled with lower back pain, this will help.

Look at the Before photo.
Legs don’t open much.
Stance feels blocked.
Movement stops early.

That’s not stiffness in the back.

That’s tight glutes.
And a restricted piriformis.

I see this all the time with rugby players around.
Strong.
Powerful.
But stiff through the hips.

When the piriformis and glutes don’t move well, the hips can’t open.
So the lower back takes over.
Again and again.
And that’s where the pain starts.

Now look at the After photo.

Same athlete.
Same strength.
Different movement.

Wider stance.
Hips open more.
Glutes doing their job.
Back not fighting for control.

That change didn’t come from stretching the lower back.
It came from freeing up the hips.

This is the bit people miss.
They treat the back…
when the real issue is lower.

So let me ask you:
When your back hurts…
have you ever checked your glutes, piriformis and hips?

Because most lower back problems I see don’t start in the back at all.

If you’ve ever struggled to squat properly, this will help.

Look at the first photo.
That’s not weakness.
That’s lack of mobility.

Hips not opening properly.
Hamstrings tight.
Glutes stiff.
Quads doing all the work.

So the squat stops early.
Chest tips forward.
Heels want to lift.
And the body says, “That’s enough.”

Now look at the second photo.

Same person.
Same strength.
Different movement.

Hips are moving better.
Glutes doing their job.
Hamstrings allowing depth.
Back stays more upright.
Heels stay closer to the floor.

That deeper squat didn’t come from pushing harder.
It came from improving mobility.

This is something I see all the time special on this one our Client is a cyclists.
Strong legs.
Great engine.
But stiff hips from hours in the saddle.

And that stiffness shows up when you squat, lift, or even just move day to day.

Here’s the important bit:
If your squat feels stuck, the answer isn’t always more squats.

Sometimes it’s joint mobility.
Sometimes it’s glute activation.
Sometimes it’s learning how your body should move again.

So let me ask you:
When you squat
Where do you feel the restriction first?
