Ponteland Golf Club is seeking a self-employed Golf Professional (PGA) or Golf Services provider to join our team.
Ponteland golf club, a prestigious and historic club situated just a few miles from Newcastle airport, is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking PGA Professional to contribute to our team. This presents an exciting opportunity to become part of a club with a rich heritage and a strong vision for the future.
In this new role, the individual or business would operate independently as a self-employed entity, responsible for providing the services of a fully stocked professional shop, as well as repair and club fitting services, along with golf instruction to our members and visitors.
We welcome applications from both Golf Professionals (PGA-qualified) and golf-related business owners.
Our new service provider will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of golf operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, professionalism, and member satisfaction at the golf club. This position demands a robust background in golf management, exceptional leadership abilities, and a fervent passion for delivering exceptional golf experiences.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
As our Service Provider, you will play a central role in the club’s operations and member experience. Your responsibilities will include:
o Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
o Be a proactive member of the golf team supporting all areas of golf operations
o Golf Coaching & Development: Delivering high-quality individual and group coaching to players of all levels.
o Retail Management: Overseeing the pro shop, including stock management, merchandising, and customer service.
o Deliver professional and highly engaging custom fitting sessions in line with the company and manufacturer standards
o Club Engagement: Supporting club competitions, events, and member engagement initiatives.
o Junior & Ladies/Mens get into golf programs: Promoting golf within the local community and developing various golf programs.
o Business Collaboration: Working closely with the club’s leadership to grow both your business and the club’s profile.
o Previous experience in managing a successful golf professional business
o Maintain a valid DBS and Safeguarding certificate
