Positively Birthing Relaxation evenings offer a truly unique approach to birth preparation. The session includes antenatal education, yoga based movement, breath work, relaxation and hypnobirthing techniques. Sessions provide the perfect opportunity for some time out, they are relaxed and supportive, and a great way to make friends and build a social network to support you through the early days of parenthood.

Birth refresher workshops are designed for those who have given birth before and would like some education and support going into labour and birth again. I absolutely love delivering these sessions, they are so supportive and open up lots of really interesting conversations about past birth experiences, navigating the maternity services, choice and control.

The feedback from clients is amazing and I’m looking forward to running more of these sessions throughout this year!

This year marks my 29 th year in the world of midwifery. The photo was my first ever NHS job (and yes I’m aware I look about 12 in it 😆)

In 29 years I’ve gained a first class honours degree in midwifery, worked in 3 local NHS trusts and 1 in Liverpool, completed an elective placement in the USA, and then took the big decision to work in private practice as a self employed antenatal educator.

Over the years I’ve not only heard of most pregnancy and birth scenarios, but I’ve experienced them, seen them, lived them.

I will forever be obsessed with all things bump, birth and baby and I am so very grateful that have a job that I absolutely love almost 3 decades in!

If you are currently searching for antenatal classes and finding it all a bit overwhelming then you’ve come to the right place….. I can guarantee you won’t find anyone with more experience, passion or amazing reviews! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I had such leaky eyes when I received this wonderful review….. Philippa and Billy did my March BBB antenatal course, and are now doing baby massage with their baby Freddie. It’s been so lovely being part of their bump and baby journey, and being part of their support network alongside the amazing village they’ve created with the other mums and dads in their group!

Maternal Mental Health Week ❤️

In my job I come across new mums who are struggling with the transition to parenthood, and the huge range of emotions, thoughts and feelings that can bring. They often look to me as the ‘expert’ and ask what being a first time mum was like for me. Was it easy, having the knowledge and experience that I do?

And I tell them. Often with very leaky eyes, about why ended up doing this job. Why it will always be my passion. And how I will never forget how hard I found the transition to becoming a mum.

I tell them it all, and offer them a safe space where they can open up about their struggles too. And when they cry often I do too. Because I will never forget those feelings and emotions, or how difficult those days can be. Don’t hold those feelings in, open up, talk, cry, scream, be held, be listened to, have your feeling validated. Seek more support if you need to. Ask for help. Never feel like you are in this alone
