Save Face helps you by checking how professional aesthetic practitioners are- so that you are kept safe.

Aesthetic Medicine should only be carried out by MEDICALLY TRAINED PROFESSIONALS but unfortunately in the UK, there is no law stopping somebody that is not qualified as a doctor, nurse, or dentist from injecting you with something that could, in the wrong hands do harm.

I am on the Government CQC and also the Save Face register.

Usually, treatments from non medically trained injectors are cheaper than seeing a doctor, pharmacist, nurse or dentist.

All in the Medical Aesthetics community are shocked and also outraged that there has now been a death in the UK after a non medic performed a ‘butt lift’ procedure- this should have been prevented from happening by being illegal in the first place..

Will the government now listen?

There is often a big difference between what we see online vs reality. This could not be more applicable when it comes to posts promoting BBLs and breast augmentation procedures that are carried out using dermal fillers.

These procedures are being marketed on social media as being 'risk-free', and 'painless' with 'guaranteed fantastic results'. These statements could not be further from the truth. �

These are incredibly high-risk procedures that can cause life-threatening complications. The chances of you getting the results you see promised online are incredibly low. �

Over 70% of the people we have supported have been admitted to hospital following treatment, 39% of which have required corrective surgery. 42% of patients contracted sepsis. � We have launched a campaign for these procedures to be banned due to the risks involved.
