We use physiotherapy exercises as well as a wide range of movement therapy to allow your body more comfort and support, strength and flexibility to get more pleasure out of life. BODi Dance- MOVING ENERGY MINDFULLY A Holistic Dance with beautiful lyrical movements set to an eclectic mix of music, with elements of Tai Chi, Yoga, and many Dance Arts with a Zen Philosophy to life- being in the present moment, in the body. Mindfulness. Understanding of Body, Mind, E-motions. (Energy in Motion) and the energy connection. BODi Dance leaves you exhilarated and calm, elated and grounded. BODi Dance provides all the benefits that you would expect of a good dance exercise class and much more... awareness of alignment, energy levels so whether you are 18 or 78 , whether you like to dance gracefully, soft and relaxed or dynamic and energetic there is something for you for you to feel the benefit. Somatic BODi Yoga is not a different style of yoga but rather a movement therapy, a way of re-educating the way our brain senses and moves the muscles. Our muscles can become tight or restricted due to development reasons, habitual patterns, emotional stress, injuries or trauma. Small, slow and gentle movements are used to re-educate the brain so that it can relax and move these muscles more functionally. Yoga is a science, that is, it is a body of techniques that lead us to consciously connect with ourselves and with life, the experience of yoga. As yoga is a science, there is no dogma or belief system attached to it. Yoga simply tells us to do a certain practice and then to feel the effect of that practice, e.g. if we breath slowly in a relaxed manner we will slow our heart rate; if we focus the mind we will develop mental peace and deep insight.
