Its Back ! THIS GIRL CAN every Tuesday for 6 weeks- try something new, Somatic Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Yoga Dance, Hatha Yoga, Pilates!
This is part of a Sports England Campaign that ENERGYBODi has been recognised in supporting women into healthier lifestyles.
Sports England research found 13 million women who said they would like to exercise, of those 6 million of them are not. Why is this? The biggest two reasons, fear and guilt!

Not being good enough
Not got the right clothes
Not fit enough
Embaressed
Worried about tight or the right clothing
Don't want to go on their own
Fear of judgement
Don't want to feel silly
Feel intimidated
Pelvic floor problems
Worried about their body shape and size
Feel guilty about taking time for their own health
Feel guilty about being away from their children
Feel guilty about not putting the family first
Feel guilty about not doing enough for ageing parents

Twist and Sigh...

So, what do twists do? They stimulate circulation, build heat, and release tension in the muscles of the spine. They increase the mobility of the abdomen and rib cage by softening fascia, and twists can also stimulate the many vagus nerve fibers in the torso and neck (the cranial nerves that calm the visceral organs), which could explain the “ahhh” effect twists can have—the feeling of relaxation and release that they give us.

Yoga develops inner awareness. It focuses your attention on your body's abilities at the present moment. It helps develop breath and strength of mind and body. It's not about physical appearance.
Surveys have found that those who practiced yoga were more aware of their bodies than people who didn't practice yoga. They were also more satisfied with and less critical of their bodies. For these reasons, yoga has become an integral part in the treatment of eating disorders and programs that promote positive body image and self-esteem. Several small studies have found yoga to have a positive effect on cardiovascular risk factors: It helped lower blood pressure in people who have hypertension. It's likely that the yoga restores "baroreceptor sensitivity." This helps the body senses imbalances in blood pressure and maintain balance.

We offer three weekly Yoga practices at ENERGYBODi. Both are an embodied practices, learn to lead the movement from your own internal guidance, personalize your practice, alongside the teachers guidance. Everybody is different, not one size fits all. By increasing your felt sense intelligence, you gain skills to move well and increase your comfort, pleasure and strength not only in class but everyday.

A Sun Salutation , Hatha Yoga Practice -Thursdays 7.15pm

Yoga on a Roll - Deep massage and stretch session with a roller- Saturdays 11.15am

Somatic EMBODi Yoga can be used to help:-
-Release and reverse neuro-muscular pain (chronic and acute)
-Headaches
-Painful joints and muscles
-Neck, shoulder and back pain
-Sciatica
-Hip, knee and foot pain
-Repetitive use injuries
Somatic (emBODi) Yoga is not a different style of yoga but rather a movement therapy, a way of re-educating the way our brain senses and moves the muscles.
Our muscles can become tight or restricted due to development reasons, habitual patterns, emotional stress, injuries or trauma. Small, slow and gentle movements are used to re-educate the brain so that it can relax and move these muscles more functionally.
