So as well as offering my bodywork practice at The Wellness Barn in Newent, I am now offering the same service at the Reflection Rooms on Barton Street in Tewkesbury.

Reflection Rooms is a beautiful 16th century building lovingly converted into a relaxing, safe & nurturing space.

With a large, wheelchair accessible waiting area & ground floor room with mobile massage couch for hands on therapies.

Availability at this location is variable as the treatment room is shared with other practitioners, so get in touch if you would like to book your next appointment with me here.

How are you feeling?

Here is some positive news for you to reflect on:

In 7 days time the sun will set at 16.47 then 7 days later it will set at 16.57
In 2 weeks time it will be Imbolc, which marks the start of Spring, the time for thinking what you will sow for the coming months of growth
In 60 days it will be Ostara, the Spring Equinox, when the days & nights are equal in length in perfect balance
In 3months & 12days we will reach Beltane, the start of summer, when what has been sown begins to gather strength & you can dust off your summer wardrobe in readiness for the sun!

But for now, it's just another Monday in January & you are allowed to continue resting, it's what your body is designed for during this last slumber phase in the cycle of seasons💚🩵🖤

My clients get to know me quite well - they know they don't just come in, have some bodywork, then leave.

I ask questions - lots of questions!
I ask them how they feel
I ask them where they feel it
I ask them what it feels like
I ask them if the feeling increases or decreases with certain movements or activities
I ask them how that feeling makes them feel

I even ask them to walk up & down the room or corridor so i can observe where there may be restrictions.

How my clients are feeling is always a big part of the process.
For some it can be difficult to feel into their body, but with time & a sense of safety this can & does improve.

We begin a new calendar at the quietest time of the year....

We often feel the need to improve ourselves through diets, exercise regimes, new ideas & resolutions, more action & greater productivity in January, then struggle to follow through with them by the end of the month.

But what if we were to practice REST instead of forced action during the quietest time of the year?

What if we were to allow our nervous systems the opportunity to rebalance & reset during this time of quiet?

What if we were to turn inwards & ask our body what IT really needs at this quiet time of year?

What if we just accepted ourselves as we are right now & allowed ourselves to just be, during this 1 quiet month ?

While you sleep, your brain is quietly washing itself clean.

Part of my job as a soft tissue Therapist is to help regulate the nervous system on my couch so the bodywork can be effective - if you are disregulated & still in a fight, flight or freeze state your body is less able to release itself from tension, restrictions & pain.💚🩵🖤

It's a good job Bowen Therapy does just that! It makes my job much less taxing!🤣💚🩵🖤

TMJ Therapy is a light touch soft tissue therapy for easing issues stemming from imbalances in the musculoskeletal structures involved in TMj (jaw joint) function💀💙💚🖤

Our Story

The Bowen Technique/Canine Bowen Therapy is a complementary physical therapy which uses gentle rolling moves over soft tissue interspersed with breaks .
