❗IMPORTANT NOTICE - Swadlincote Health Centre ❗

Derbyshire Health United (DHU) have confirmed that they will not be on-site at Swadlincote Health Centre until 6:00pm on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

They will still be covering phone lines from 4:30pm, however, staff will not be present in the building. As a result, the Health Centre will not be accessible to the public until 6:00pm.

Mighty Minds is a peer led social group for Neurodiverse people in the Swadlincote area.

A place for Adults with ASD, ADHD and other Neurodiverse conditions (diagnosed, undiagnosed or waiting to be diagnosed) to come together and socialise, make friends and talk with each other.

Day - Every Wednesday
Time - 3.00pm to 5.00pm
Venue - The Derbyshire Mind Hub, 12-14 West Street, Swadlincote

❗Job Vacancy - Care Navigator❗

Newhall Surgery is looking for a motivated, empathetic, customer service orientated person to join our busy Care Navigation Team. The post holder will have a positive attitude, good listening and communication skills and be a team player. Previous primary care or customer based service experience is required. This is a varied role and much of the work undertaken will be of a highly confidential and sensitive nature.

Part time hours are offered, however, the successful candidate would need to be available to work both the morning and the afternoon shifts as necessary with daily working hours between 8.00am and 6.30pm. The hours required are between 30 and 37.5 hours per week, the working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.

‼️IMPORTANT NOTICE - Resident Doctor Industrial Action - 17 to 22 December 2025‼️

Please be advised that the British Medical Association (BMA) has announced strike action by Resident Doctors from 7.00am on Wednesday 17 December until 7.00am on Monday 22 December 2025.

As part of Newhall Surgery being a teaching and training practice we have Resident Doctors, also know as GP Registrars or F2 Doctors, on placement with us who may wish to strike during this time.

For those patients affected by the strike, we shall be in contact with you to re-schedule your Doctor's appointment.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
