The Flu and COVID Vaccination programme will be run collaboratively this year, with all practices in the area, and will be run by the PCN at Ragsdale House, Woodville. The PCN are looking for volunteers to help them run this Flu and COVID Programme as efficiently as possible. Please let us know if you are interested.

🟢 Samaritans Awareness Day is on 24 July 2025, they are raising awareness throughout July, to let people know that you can talk to them, day, or night, 24/7.

Our local Samaritans is based in Derby and is 60 years old! They provide emotional support for people who are struggling to cope, with 90+ volunteers who support callers on the phone or by email every single day of the year.

If you need to speak to someone, contact the Samaritans on 116 123, free, day or night, 365 days a year.

As the sun shines brightest during the summer months, this campaign reminds us of the risks associated with overexposure and promotes safe sun habits that help prevent skin cancer, premature aging, and eye damage.

Things you can do to help protect yourself from UV:

🟥Menopause Support Group

We will soon be running our next 3-week course of the Menopause Support group. Each of the 3 sessions covers different topics, so ideally patients should attend all 3. We discuss food, movement, mindfulness, sleep, good bone, heart & gut health, and other topics.

The course will be held in the Swadlincote fire station Community Room at 6pm on 15th, 22nd and 29th of July 2025.
