📣 BIG NEWS FOR NEWHAVEN PATIENTS 📣

We are excited to share that this May, Chapel Street surgery will be moving to a brand new purpose-built building just a short distance from our current location.

As part of this exciting new chapter, Chapel Street Surgery will become Newhaven Medical Practice.

✨What does this mean for our patients?

- A modern, more comfortable practice building
- Closer working with Community specialist teams
- Faster access to expert advice and more continuity of care
- 3 new permanent GPs joining our team

Our new Doctors bring specialist interests in:
- Diabetes
- Women's health
- Chronic fatigue
- Mental health
- Lifestyle medicine

Thank you to all of our patients for your continued trust and support. It is a privilege to care for you and your families, and we are proud to serve the Newhaven Community.

📣 We are also welcoming new patients, so please feel free to share this post with friends, family or neighbours who may be looking for a local, supportive, friendly GP practice.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new home very soon!

For more information, please visit our website for any updates, or speak with our reception team, who will be more than happy to help.

You don’t always need to see someone at your GP surgery to get the care you need.
With the Pharmacy First service, your local pharmacist can now help with seven common conditions – no GP appointment needed!

✅ Sinusitis
✅ Sore throat
✅ Earache (under 17s)
✅ Infected insect bites
✅ Impetigo
✅ Shingles
✅ Uncomplicated UTIs (women 16-64)

If you think you have any of these conditions, think Pharmacy First to feel better, faster!

Update: Our computer system is now back up and running. If you have an appointment, please come in as usual.
We appreciate your patience as we work through the backlog from this morning.

29/09/2025

We are sorry to say that our practice computer system is out of use due a network issue across Sussex. This is also affecting our telephone lines. This is beyond our control and we are in close dialogue with the relevant parties to ensure it is functioning again as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, our ability to provide services is greatly reduced because we do not have access to your clinical records. Our clinical staff will see as many patients as they feel can be safe, but please understand that in many cases it will not be possible for appointments to go ahead.

As soon as the situation is rectified and we have caught up with any backlog, we will be restarting services.

For emergencies, please dial 999. For other urgent clinical advice, please dial 111.

Thank you
