Baby club

Hi everyone. Now that I am on maternity leave again I have been looking for classes to go to & it’s a shame to have to drive everywhere when we have facilities in the village we can utilise.

I’ve recently met a few new mums round about thanks to the health visitor putting us in touch & I thought I would reach out to the Axis about hiring a room for us to all meet, as a trial, to see how much interest there would be for a baby group.

Whether you’re a new parent, second or third time parent - everyone is welcome!

I’ve booked the studio in the Axis Centre on Thursday 26th February at 10.30-12.30 so feel free to drop in any time within these 2 hours. Grab a coffee from the Chinwag cafe or take your own and hopefully we can get to know one another. (No charge for this at the moment just as we trial it).

If successful we can alternate the days of the week we meet depending on the room availability at the Axis. Please vote below so I can gauge interest & spread the word, it isn’t just for Newmachar/Kingseat residents🙂

Just an update 💖 Still no volunteers for toddlers. The money from the Summer fundraisers is sitting in the bank account ready for when toddlers restarts 🌟

Due to other commitments I won’t be running toddlers this term 💖 It’s been just over 4 years doing toddlers and I have met some lovely families along the way. With my eldest in School, middle one in nursery in the morning and my littlest one having a morning nap I just do not have the time to run toddlers at the moment.

Looking for some other mums to take it over on either a Tuesday or Friday ☺️ Although there hasn’t been much interest with people wanting to attend or run it. Please PM if you want to take it over x

Happy New Term!
I hope all the little ones are settling well into their new routines.

Over the holidays, we were delighted to host two fantastic fundraisers, raising a wonderful total of around £250 – thank you to everyone who supported these events!

As we prepare for toddlers to start again, I’d love to know which day works best for the majority. Please take a moment to comment below so we can plan accordingly.

TUESDAY or FRIDAY?

I’m also looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with sessions. Like many parents, I juggle a busy schedule with three children in different places, so I’m unable to run toddlers every week on my own. To make things manageable, we’d like to set up a rota so the responsibility is shared rather than falling on just a couple of people.

If you’d like to be involved, please pop a message below and I’ll add you to a group chat once a day is confirmed.

Join Us for a Community Picnic This Saturday!

We’re excited to invite you to a community picnic at the park this Saturday—a wonderful opportunity for families and children from the village to come together for a day of fun and connection.

There will be a bake sale and a tombola, with all proceeds supporting our local Baby and Toddler Group. We warmly welcome any donations for the bake sale—every contribution makes a difference!

Come along, bring a blanket, and enjoy a day in the park with your neighbours. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our event for a funday at the Scout hut has unfortunately been cancelled due being able to fund the cost to run it/ lack of interest.
However we still want to raise even a little funds for our baby and toddler group 🥰
Take your little ones and bigger siblings as well for a play at the park and a picnic! We will have a tombola and a bake sale 🥰🌟
Let’s all meet and let them have a play together and some fun!
