YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A FREE FLU JAB on the NHS at Pharmacy2Go, Newmarket (next door to Tesco).
OVER 65's (AND those at high risk aged 18 to 64) - Officially available mid September as soon as stocks arrive.
Aged 50 – 64: Available from Saturday 15th October
HIGH RISK groups include:
• Chronic respiratory disease such as asthma, COPD or bronchitis
• Chronic heart disease such as heart failure or angina
• Chronic kidney disease stages 3, 4 or 5
• Chronic liver disease such as cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis
• Chronic neurological diseases: Parkinsons, motor neurone, learning disability, stroke, TIA (mini stroke).
• Diabetes, types 1 or 2 including diet controlled
• Immunosupressed: HIV or undergoing cancer treatment, taking oral steroids (prednisolone 20mg daily or more), if you have been advised to have the flu vaccine by your doctor.
• Spleen dysfunction or have had your spleen removed
• Morbidly obese, BMI of 40 or higher
• Pregnant women aged 18 at any stage
Also people living in long stay residential care homes, carers, close contacts of immunocompromised people, frontline health & social care workers, hospice workers
Covid-19 Autumn boosters:
Boosters available from 12/9/22 for:
75+ years old AND frontline health and social care workers & immunocompromised
Boosters available from 19/9/22 for:
Over 65’s, pregnant women, carers, contacts of immunosuppressed patients
