Our first flu clinic of the season is under way this morning.

Pre booked appointments only.

To help with the flow and to avoid congestion please do not arrive too early and please park with consideration to our neighbours.

Please follow the signage to enter the car park by the correct Entrance.

There is also guidance as you enter the building.

Removing your outer layers on arrival will also be helpful for our nursing team.

We look forward to seeing you during the morning.

We sincerely apologise if you have had a lengthy wait in the queue and if your medication is not ready on time.
Unfortunately we are currently working very short staffed.
If you have requested medication, please ensure you give the dispensary staff enough time to be able to complete this request in a timely manner.
Thank you for bearing with us during this challenging period.

A message to our patients, their families, representatives and all users of our services

Dear Wickhambrook patients,

Many of you, like us have been appalled and shocked by the recent violence, racism and Islamophobic events occurring up and down the country. For many it has triggered painful memories and feelings from previous adverse experiences. Whilst there have been no local reports of unrest a lot of people are frightened and distressed.

We feel strongly that everyone should be treated equally regardless of their country of origin, faith, age, sexual orientation, gender or disability. We have a duty of care to our staff and follow the NHS zero tolerance policy. There is no justification for any behaviour that causes staff to feel abused, threatened, or assaulted.

We are writing this in the hope that we can encourage our community to come together, support each other, promote kindness and reject the hatred being promoted by those who seek to cause unrest.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

A new telephone system has been installed today. Our staff are being trained in its use, however, we would be most grateful for your patience whilst they become proficient users.

There are some additional features, including "request a call-back". This will mean callers can press a button to request a call-back, hang up the phone, whilst maintaining their place in the queue, and receive an automatic call back from the surgery once the caller reaches the top of the queue.

Thank you for your patience.

WICKHAMBROOK SURGERY'S "CAKE-OFF" ~ Tuesday 9th July
Entries welcomed from staff and patients.

Following the successful Macmillan coffee morning back in September, we are organising a surgery "Cake-Off" (our version of the TV Bake Off show).

As well as providing us with the opportunity to showcase our best bakes, and/or eat what others have made, it will also be an opportunity to highlight the wonderful work done by our chosen charity, "UNICEF", who help children all around the world who are being affected by war and conflict.

This event is open to both staff and patients. There will be prizes for the best bake and runner up.

When you bring in your "bake", (to be submitted by 10.30am on 9th July) there will be a numbered ticket available to attach to your bake so that we can identify the "Star Baker" after judging.

We look forward to receiving lots of entries which we will display in the waiting room to offer with tea/coffee to all and welcome donations in return to UNICEF.
