Avican Support Ltd is a provider of supported living services to people living with learning disabilities. We are delighted to welcome a suitable candidate to join our small team in Littleport, Ely as a Support Worker on a 37.5 hour/week shift basis pattern and the possibility of overtime.

Our Shift Pattern:
Early (07:00- 14:30), Late (14:30- 22:00), Sleep-in (22:00-07:00) (please note that we also pay a fixed sleep-in rate when worked)

Summary of Duties:
As a successful member of our team, you will be facilitating daily living support for our service users, which may include but not limited to meal preparation, medication administration, house tidying, shopping, daily shift-based event report writing.
You will be required to work as part of a flexible rota which includes some rota-based sleep-ins per week. You will be able to communicate and write daily reports in the English language.
Although previous experience in a similar role is desirable, this is however not essential as full training will be provided. It is also desirable that you have access to your own means of transportation and can drive if possible as the role may require you to drive some of the individuals we support to activities. Mileage will be paid.
Qualification:
• Good literacy, adequate IT skills for typing reports on tablets and sending emails on computers
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. A positive and a willingness to learn is however a necessity.

This role is aimed at having the right members of staff in a team working towards a single goal of building living and functional skills in the individuals we support. Living with a disability should not exclude anyone from engaging in an enjoyable existence and meaningful daily activities focused on enriching the human living experiences. Avican Support is a care provider for people with disabilities. We are eager to speak to a suitable candidate to join a small team at Exning, Newmarket. This position is specifically for looking after a service user with a physical disability and a speech impediment. The individual is highly functional and independent in many areas of daily living, through the enjoyment of activities such as horse riding, cinema, shopping and many more.

The suitable candidate requires previous experience in the care sector as well as a driver's licence as driving the service user's car is required for accessing the community.

The hours required are as follows:

Every Tuesday: 0900 to 2300 + sleep-in
Wednesday: 0700 - 0900
Every other Monday: 0900 to 2300 + sleep-in

There may also be a possibility of overtime.

These hours may be split between 2 people who meet the selection criteria.

Wage: £10/hour
Sleep-in: £45/night

Experience is necessary and further training will also be provided.

Are you an experienced children nursery worker or are you a keen and creative person who enjoys organising activities such as arts and crafts for people, such as individuals living in a care environment? Avican Support is a provider of supported living services to people with learning disabilities, and we are currently looking for a suitable candidate to join our small team in Littleport, Ely. The successful applicant will be working with our five individuals who live at this location from our newly completed activity hub on site.
