My name is Joanna Bird and I have been working as an Independent Midwife since 2005. My personal philosophy is to support women and their families throughout pregnancy and in their transition to parenthood. I am passionate about empowering women to make informed choices and in helping them achieve a positive and rewarding experience.

I offer a personalised one-to-one, private antenatal and postnatal midwifery service, with full continuity of carer, which is family focused and tailor made for your own individualised needs - all in the comfort of your own home.

I am passionate about natural childbirth and especially home water birth, and I truly believe that every birth should be very special, and that you should be treated as an individual with care and respect.
