👩‍⚕️ After working alongside the nursing team for 7 weeks, we said farewell to Student nurses Ketha and Enja this afternoon.

Both are in their first year at University of Northampton studying adult nursing and will continue their education for a further 2 years.

Ketha and Enja have been invaluable to the team on Cedars- getting involved in everything from personal care to cups of tea and activities.

Thank you both so much for your time and efforts here (and for the chocolates), we all wish you the best of luck for the future.

Just like her work at Bletchley Park during WW2 the visit had to be kept under wraps but we can now share the details…
Resident Olive was invited to Bletchley Park to have afternoon tea with the Duke of Kent.

‘Olive, 97, who began her career as a messenger at the Park the age of 14, said: “It was nice to meet The Duke, an honour. I’ve come back to Bletchley Park a few times and each visit is so special. He asked what my role was during the war and he was amazed how young I was when I started.”’

We’ve been up to all sorts lately; from flower arranging to pie tasting and from knitting to bistro lunches. To finish off the week we celebrated the ladies living at Westbury Grange by giving each of them a little gift in honour of Mother’s day & international women’s day 🌹

🎶 We have had a fantastically fun Wednesday this week with two musical sessions which I think we are still recovering from.
The first introduced Jane, our new Music Therapist, to Westbury Grange, which had residents singing, dancing and playing instruments.
Ragdolly Annas held a very energetic session in the afternoon with fun facts, name that tune and plenty of dancing 🕺

We’re proud to be part of MHA, which has once again been recognised as one of the Top 20 Large Care Home Groups in the UK by carehome.co.uk – for the ninth year in a row!

This recognition is based on feedback from residents and their families, which makes it especially meaningful.

A big well done to colleagues across MHA for the kindness, dedication and care they show every day. We’re proud to be part of it. 💛
