A fantastic session again this week with Lucy keeping everyone moving and motivated!
Residents took part in both active and passive exercises from gentle stretches and coordination tasks to fun balance activities. Simple yet effective movements that left everyone smiling and mood boosted!

Our residents at Craighead Care Home always look forward to their visit with Trish, our wonderful hairdresser. She takes the time to listen to what each resident wants and makes sure they leave the chair feeling happy, confident, and cared for.
Good hair really is confidence and Trish brings kindness, patience, and respect to every appointment.

What an afternoon!
Residents at Craighead Care Home were treated to an amazing performance by Gus Zee. There were feet tapping, hands clapping, and plenty of smiles all around as he filled the home with everyone’s favourite songs.

🌟 Improving Care Through Staff Led Solutions.

This week at the NHS Fife drop-in session, our brilliant IPC link practitioners Aakash and Nadee proudly supported by our Home Manager Jasmine Ali, presented their fantastic work on enhancing infection prevention and control within our home.
As our dedicated IPC Champions, Aakash and Nadee identified that Danicentres placed in corridors felt too clinical and could be unsettling for residents living with dementia. Moving them into showers or storage areas wasn’t practical, so they proposed a smart, person centred solution:
Installing additional PPE Danicentres in mid floor communal toilets.
This simple change is already making a big impact improving response times, boosting practicality for staff, reducing PPE wastage, and maintaining a calm, homely environment for our residents.
We are incredibly proud of their leadership, creativity, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Empowering our staff leads to better care, safer practice, and brighter ideas!

🐝💛 A Sweet Visit from BeeHive Nursery! 💛🐝

We were delighted to welcome the lovely children from BeeHive Nursery to our care home today. Such beautiful, joyful little ones their smiles truly brightened everyone’s morning!
A big thank you to the excellent nursery support workers who make visits like this possible. Their kindness and encouragement help create moments that mean so much to our residents.

🎁 Our Residents Are On a Mission!
Our brilliant Resident Advocacy Champions at Craighead Care Home have decided it is never too early to get festive… and they are already planning ahead!
They have requested donations to help them create some beautiful (and possibly slightly over-stuffed!) festive hampers ready for our big Christmas Eve and Hogmanay raffles.
If you have got any goodies, treats, smellies, snacks, or festive bits that are looking for a good home, our residents would love to give them a glamorous new life in a hamper!
All donations welcomed by our wonderful staff and residents who are already arguing over who gets to be “Head Hamper Designer.”
