If you visited our old Newport exhibitions many of you will remember seeing our fabulous film of Newport in the 1930s. The village celebrated the royal Silver Jubilee in 1935 then the coronation in 1937. And boy did they know how to celebrate?! Well the good news is we have now added the film to our History Group website, so you can all enjoy it. Those of you have seen it already know how good it is. Coronavirus: Guidance

NOW OPEN - with limited capacity.

To comply with social distancing rules, Scottish Government advice, The College of Podiatry guidelines, and to protect patients, Hutcheson Podiatry is now able to offer limited appointments.

We can arrange an appointment for you if –

1. You or anyone in your household do NOT have symptoms of a cough, high temperature or loss of taste or smell or are currently in isolation due to symptoms.
2. You have high medical need (wounds, acute or limb threatening conditions) or pain and discomfort affecting you.
3. You wear a face covering or face mask on entering the practice.
4. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to make routine appointments at this time.

The practice door is locked at all times to enable safe social distancing for everyone. Please wait outside if you have an appointment.

Coronavirus: Guidance

STAY AT HOME

Hi everyone, we wanted to be sure and let you know we’re so grateful for all those who’ve called and contacted us with so much support in recent weeks. It really is hugely appreciated during such a difficult time for us all.

We are checking in daily with our Professional body guidelines from the College of Podiatry and the Scottish Government, and at the moment (12th May 2020) sadly we have to remain closed for your protection and wellbeing on their instructions.

We know and share how frustrating and upsetting this is, but it is to keep you; all our patients & your loved ones who may visit safe.

On a positive note, please be rest assured that we have been working hard behind the scenes to redesign the Clinic:

• Organising the diary to enable us to offer you the security and safety of a new one-in one-out policy
• A gap between appointments for a deep clean of the clinical area and to ensure only one patient is in the building at a time
• Identifying those who have been waiting the longest, with the greatest need for appointments and are high risk, ensuring they are contacted first for treatment
• Sourcing and receiving the extra Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for consultations
• Reorganising the clinic to comply with the 2-metre social distancing rules

Thanks again for your support, kindness and patience as we have been adapting ready to resume business. As soon as the guidance from the Scottish Government is updated and it is deemed safe to do so, we will reopen.

At Hutcheson Podiatry you know we always put your medical health first, and after looking into Government advice & much lengthy research and consideration, at the moment we need to ask you to stay at home.

We are of course so sad to close, so will review the situation, advice and healthcare supply chains daily so that we can arrange to treat you again as soon as possible, and are also in touch with the authorities to see what we can do.

Please take care, keep in touch, stay safe and well, and I look forward to treating you again soon.
