Today marks the start of National Feet Week 👣

Our feet work hard for us every single day, carrying us around (mostly) without complaint... yet they’re often the most neglected part of the body. Did you know each foot contains 26 bones, which is 1/4 of the bones in our body?

Reflexology is a wonderful way to give your feet some well-deserved care while supporting relaxation, balance and overall wellbeing.

Take a step towards self-care this week and show your feet some love 💚👣

I spent a lovely couple of hours with a fellow Clinical Reflexologist, Sharonlee from Sole Sister Reflexology, volunteering at the Telford & Wrekin Parkinson’s Support Group.

We attend a few times a year to offer complimentary taster treatments of Hand Reflexology and to talk about how Reflexology can help manage the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease.

Clinical research has shown that Reflexology can be helpful in maintaining or improving the wellbeing of people with Parkinson’s Disease (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1744388109001066). It has also been shown to help reduce some of the symptoms such as constipation.

You may see details around and about of The Sunflower Appeal being lead by Lingen Davies Cancer Support.

The appeal is to raise £5m by 2029 to establish a new cancer centre at The Princess Royal Hospital so that people in and around Telford can access chemotherapy services and cancer clinics closer to home.

A number of my clients like myself have either received treatment for cancer, or are currently receiving treatment, so this appeal is close to home.

For the next 3 months Telford & Wrekin Council will match fund donations up to £250k.
