Today, Rev. Dean our CEO was able to donate three more incubator covers for The Grange University Hospital NICU ward on behalf of the charity. Rev. Dean is also a chaplain in the Health Board.

This was all made possible because of our very talented Gina, part of our Yarny Army, who is amazingly skilled at quilting and agreed to make these especially for the incubators at the hospital. These incubator covers cost an awful lot of money to buy (and aren’t as pretty!) so making them saves our NHS money whilst also showing solidarity and support for staff and patients. The colours allow parents to relax more and give off more of a “home” rather than “hospital” vibe. Thanks so much to Gina for this amazing work. We are proud to do our bit as an organisation to help the NHS. 💙🏥

National Service of Thanksgiving for NHS Wales-75. Church of the Resurrection, Ely, Cardiff. NHS Wales & Welsh Government

Today we celebrated NHS-75 in Wales with a thanksgiving service in Cardiff. The gathering was attended by NHS staff and Welsh Government ministers.

Sadly the First Minister and previous Health minister were unable to attend due to appearing at the Covid enquiry in London.

One of our Chaplains Reverend Mervyn Rigg attended along with the NHS Wales CEO Judith Paget CBE:

New glass art in the GUH chapel:

We were delighted to receive the gift of a set of glass fish for the Chapel wall in GUH, which were donated in memory of a patient whom the Chaplaincy department supported over a period of months earlier last year.

We are very grateful to the family for this generous donation which really enhances the Chapel space.

We are also grateful for the support of Ross from Facilities and Jon the Carpenter for his expert assistance in setting the display for us.
